Parramatta halfback Jeff Robson is resigned to leaving the Eels and will ink a deal with Cronulla, possibly this week. Robson has several offers from the Super League but intends to confirm a deal with the Sharks. ''That is one of my options,'' Robson said. ''I'm just weighing up a few things now. I've got a few offers from overseas but I'd prefer to stay in the NRL. Parra offered me something about eight weeks ago but I don't [know] if that is still on the table. But they've signed other halves and are trying to keep some other people.''

Kimmorley just said during the commentary for the U/20's that Townsend has recently resigned with the club. He also said that with the rumours of Sharks talking to Robson, Townsend might just turn around and say to the club 'You have developed me for 3 years in Toyota Cup, how about you give me a go in 1st grade'.

I think Robson would be a good hooker - gives us a kicking option from dummy-half. It's not his fault he has to play half with the overrated Mortimer outside him who offers nothing.
