The injury didnt come about because Pat is injury prone or any thing like that. No one's leg/foot can bend in the way his did and not brake.

I heard Steve Noyce this morning the earliest he could be back is Round 14 (best case scenario) more likely round 18.

Terribly sad news for a bloke that has so much potential, yet has so much bad luck.

Pat have a speedy recovery pal, you deserve it.

Looking at Pat Richards this year...He bulked up and looked in his 2000-01 form before he was injured at Parramatta in 2001...It was looking good for him at the Tigers.

When you think about it now...Its a HUGE loss for the Tigers.

Bad Luck Fella's.

when they showed his first injury from a few years ago on the news it was quite a different looking pat richards.. obviously much younger.. but he was much skinnier as well.. he's bulked up alot.. and would have been a big danger man for us.. and will b e when he gets himself back on the field.. at least at this point there is still hope of us seeing him in the top side towards the business end of the season so i guess in that regard all is not lost..

yeah Richards will be a huge loss, if you'd asked me say 4 months ago, i'd say no loss but now it really is.

Unfortunately three of your signings have come about because of injury..Shane Elford and Ben Reynolds couldnt force themselves into the Penrith first grade squad after coming back from injury and Scott Prince was not re-signed by Brisbane due to injury (and still is after a training mishap).. :?

Broncos couldn't compete with the price we offered him. All the Bronco's players said they were sad to see him go and thought it was his year on their website.

sounds like he's got a similar injury to Ashley Graham. He hurt his leg pretty badly in the second last round against the Broncs and is still out until the 4th week of the premiership. so that being the case you probably won't see Patty untiil about August at best.

goodluck to him! hope he bounces back.

no,graham suffered a tibial fracture where richards suffered a fibula fracture.

big difference in recovery time.you are also more likely to have complications with a tibial fracture, like non-union, compartment syndrome and re-fracture.
6-12 months for fractured tibia
