Bulldogs fullback Luke Patten has been named the NRL club's player of the year for the second straight season.

Backrow star Sonny Bill Williams picked up the Bulldogs' fans award, centre Daryl Millard was named rookie of the year, while Corey Hughes was named clubman of 2007.

Patten said he was honoured to claim back-to-back player awards.

"It means a lot as the voting is determined by your teammates, who are the best judges as to whether you are putting in or not on the field," Patten said.

Millard played 25 games in his first year at the Bulldogs after moving from St George Illawarra, finishing second on the club's try-scorers list with 13 tries.

Adam Brideson was named Premier League player of the year, with Junior Kangaroo selection Heka Nanai the club's Jersey Flegg award winner.

Former Test centre Willie Tonga received the Peter Warren Medal for service to the community.

I wont argue with those awards. Patten and Sonny Bill were by far the best players for the Dogs.

Congratulations to all winners.

I do think they were both our best (williams and patten), and congratulations to those who got awards also. Patten has been our best and most consistent player look forward to seen him play next season.
