Put him in a shit team and he's still one the best players in the comp. Ability doesn't just float away when you go into a worse team.

Maybe the ability is still there but the attitude can change. Its a champion that stands up when the chips are down. Gallen may fall into that category (I think he does as well as SBW but that isn't proven yet) he still should not be an immortal

I have long advocated for forwards to be strongly considered as immortals. I have even copped it on here for raising Lazaurus, Clyde, Ray Price, Roach, Webke and Tallis for discussion in threads on Lockyer Langer, Stuart.

that said, gallon has about 20 post 1988 players in front. I can't remember much before that, so can only give a definitive opinion on post 88.

All the above guys plus Cam Smith, Petero, Dean Pay, Fittler, ET, Renouf, all the Walters brothers, Paul Harragon, Siro, Elias, Daley, Mullins are in front of him without even thinking about it.

Then I could argue Wishart, Carne, Coyne, Brasher, Toovey, Ben Kennedy, Thurston, Slater, Steve Price, etc

Edit - I know ray price is pre 1988, but I've spoken to a lot of older fans and had some good judges say he wason par with Johnny raper. So that is enough to convince me. Those conversations often included Brad Clyde in comparison too since he is the best lock I've seen. They usually said price greater than Clyde.
