Put up a poll. I wouldn't be the only one.

That makes it worse.

You publicly urinate on a semi-regular basis?! You must either be four years old or some sort of primate.

It doesn't take too many brain cells to either don't drink as much or hold on until you find a toilet.

Exactly. Fair enough, a normal person might get caught short once or twice in his life, but if you're doing it constantly you need nappies. For a person with any sort of public profile to do it, ditto, plus they've obviously left their village short of its idiot.

Shark's Gallen in hot water

CRONULLA forward Paul Gallen has been fined by police for urinating in public at the King Street Wharf in Cockle Bay on Friday night.

Sharks chief executive Richard Fisk last night confirmed that Gallen, who is currently on leave from the NRL club after returning from Australia's victorious Four Nations campaign last month, had contacted the club to inform it of the incident.

It caps off a trying year for the Australian and NSW Origin forward, who stood down as the Cronulla captain after several on-field problems.

"Paul Gallen is currently on leave following the Kangaroo tour, but he had the courtesy of contacting the club to inform us about a minor incident that took place on Friday night," Fisk said. "The club has arranged to have a meeting with Paul early next week to get all the information."

Midway through last season, Gallen found himself at the centre of a racial vilification storm when St George Illawarra's Mickey Paea was called "a black c...". Gallen was subsequently fined $10,000.

This latest setback comes at the worst possible time for the Sharks, who have taken giant strides in the past six months towards repairing what was a horror year on and off the field.

Coach Ricky Stuart and Fisk have worked tirelessly to win back the community's respect after a tough season which saw the demise of chief executive Tony Zappia.

Several sponsors also parted ways with the club over persistent off-field problems.

Storm in a peacup IMO.

No...that was when Cronk was done for doing a nintendo as well in Jan at Byron Bay.

Maybe we can start listing a line up to play an end of season game:

The Nintendo Wees:

Cooper Cronk
Paul Gallen
Wille Mason
Nate Myles (will be the utility - he added another dimension).

Gallen in wee bit of strife with law

CRONULLA international forward Paul Gallen has allegedly brought the club into disrepute again after police caught him urinating near the head of a man in Sydney CBD on Friday night.
It is understood Gallen's alleged ''victim'' was a friend who was lying on the pavement in an intoxicated state after a night in town.
Sharks chairman Damian Irvine said he was ''filthy'' and ''gutted'' after learning that the off-field actions of a senior player who toured with the Kangaroos for the recent Four Nations tournament in England and France had again resulted in negative publicity.
''He'll be fronting us on Monday or Tuesday morning at the latest and we'll see what action we take on it,'' Irvine said last night.
''I'm filthy on it, I'm absolutely gutted. It's not a huge thing, it's a silly thing.
''We've got a lot of good momentum and anything like this that threatens the stability and positivity of the squad is just gutting. We don't need it and he should know better.
''We've got procedures in place to deal with this and the board will make the right call. The appropriate action will take place, without being melodramatic about it, and we'll go from there.''
According to a police statement: ''A 28-year-old man will be issued a criminal infringement notice (CIN) for offensive conduct after he allegedly urinated near the head of a man laying in a street in Sydney's CBD overnight. At about 3am today, police officers witnessed the alleged incident at the intersection Erskine and Sussex Streets in the city.
''Officers spoke to the man, who was advised he'd be issued with a CIN in the mail for offensive conduct.''
The latest incident is reminiscent of the act which ultimately led to the sacking of Todd Carney at the Raiders. Carney was subsequently deregistered from the NRL following claims he urinated on a pub patron during a night at the All Bar Nun bar in Canberra.
Gallen has a lengthy rap sheet but his indiscretions have been confined to the playing field. In 2008, the Kangaroos forward tried to rip open the stitching on a head wound of opposite Anthony Laffranchi. In the same year, he was accused of grabbing the testicles of Gold Coast centre Josh Graham and, in another game, slapped the head of Eels prop Josh Cordoba while he was lying unconscious on the ground.
Last season he was fined $10,000 and forced to apologise for racially abusing Dragons forward Mickey Paea.
''Paul, who is currently on holiday following the Kangaroo tour, had the courtesy to phone me to inform me there was a minor incident in town last night,'' Sharks CEO Richard Fisk said.
''We're gathering all the information and won't be making any other comment until we speak to Paul and investigate the matter.''
The Sharks have worked hard to overhaul their image in recent months after being plagued by a series of scandals last season.
The lowlights included the sacking of Reni Maitua for using performance-enhancing drugs, axing half Brett Seymour for repeated alcohol-fuelled indiscretions and chief executive Tony Zappia resigning after the infamous incident with employee Jenny Hall.

Yes it is only a minor indiscretion, but who hasn't heard that there was a major Police blitz on this weekend? No sympathy for ANYONE who got caught being stupid this weekend.

I took a piss on Friday night in public, could not find a toilet and just had to go. However I would like to think if I was a footy player I might have more common sense knowing it would be back page news if caught.

Move the Sharks to some remote town and let Gallen go pissing around there, he may actually have an excuse there as toilets will be limited.

I just emailed this to the sharks.

To Whom it may concern,

I’m writing to you in regards to Paul Gallen being issued with a fine for Public Urination. As a life long fan of Rugby League I urge you to not fall victim to the Sydney Media’s agenda & make a big deal out of this issue. In my opinion the fine Paul Gallen has received is more than enough penalty & as a fan of the game I do not feel that this is an issue. Thousands upon thousands of people would do this in Sydney every night of the week but just because Paul is of a high profile it gets reported. I can guarantee you that 99% of fans could not care about this & like me believe the fine issued by the police is punishment enough. I urge you as a Rugby League fan who does not even support Cronulla, please do not over react to this issue as NRL clubs have in the past. If the media see that this is a non issue to clubs as well as fans, maybe they will stop sensationalising minor off field incidents.

Im sick of the media taking the moral high ground in regards to this issue especially when they are far from morally superior themselves e.g. Chris Smth. Maybe if the clubs see the General Public really couldnt give a rats about this & stop reacting to the media's agenda, it will in turn stop the media from reporting these incidents so viciously as they are no longer getting reactions from the club. Every time an incident is reported & a player gets suspended/ fined i can just picture the repoters telling stories to each other about how much power they have. If anyone feels the same way as me, shoot of a quick email to Cronulla so they know this really is a non issue with fans. Hell if their going to fine Gallen, do it for being a low grub, not because he took a slash.

If anyone has Gallen's email address, I might send him an email telling him not to be suck a dumb f**k dickhead and stupidly give the media any ammunition...

Same went for Willie or whoever earlier in the year. Use your brains fellas, you have a public profile which is exactly why you earn the big bucks.

Yes, but finding one that doesn't have other players banging chicks, and sharing a blowjob with their teammates, or pissing on each other's mates is the problem.

Seriously, this is a minor offence, all it warrants is a slap over the wrist, and a "you dumb turd, use your brain when you're out in public" reprimand. Unless Gallen is a habitual public pisser - in which case he should get a 3rd party sponsorship from Depends.

Well said?

This wouldn't be a talking point if it wasn't done in the first place.

You really think this is sufficient after a full season of telling just about every bastard in the club the same thing.
