... is the best player in the world. Origin just cemented my view.

Just my opinion of course, but nobody in the game is as far ahead of the rest in his position AND as consistent week to week. Added to that is the fact that he is not only consistent but he makes EPIC metres every single week. It is a shame that the backs in our game and the hookers are the ones who everybody focuses on because they set up the plays and score the tries.

Paul Gallen > Jarrryd Hayne, Benji Marshall, Darren Lockyer, Johnathan Thurston and whoever else you want to chuck in there.

Cameron Smith is the best for consistency.

Marshall's best is the best in the game, but he isnt the sort of player that shows enough consistency. He had a consistent season it would be freakish.

Gallen is probably the best forward, although Scott is certainly up there as well.

Marshall and Thurston are there abouts as well. Unsure who would round out the 5...possibly Soward.

Its weird, Gallen is widely regarded as the best backrower in the game because of his workrate and consistency but if you asked me if id want him at my club, my answer would be a big fat "NO!". He's a grub and does some of the scummiest, dirtiest things ive seen on a footy field.

I'd rate kicking a player in the face after he's scored a try or swearing at referee as pretty scummy acts (hey there Thursto!) and leading with the knees is never a great look (hey there Billy!)

What are some of these 'scummiest, dirtiest things' you've seen Gal do on a football field? Here's something fun: try answering that question without 'this one time he might have called Mickey Paea a black merkin', or the incidents with stitches and nuts and name some of these horrific atrocities he's committed on the field in the past 18 months. Might require some actual independent thought.

And bulldozing Queensland doesn't count.
