Just watched him play QLD cup for the Clydesdales. Tragically unfit. He doesnt belong anywhere near an NRL team for at least a month. Why they are going for him is a mystery anyway, they have Casey and Barnes both playing well for the Clydesdales.

If you have been watching the QLD Cup, Smith has been carving up for the Easts Tigers. He has been their best player for the past 5 or so weeks.

He is a class player and will play very well v the Eels.

im a fan of paul green and also, as a cronulla fan i was sad to see him go in 1998. i will be the first to admit that his first 3 queensland cup matches were below average, but since then he has become a part of the toowomba side.

and i dont think that wayne bennett would give him a go in front of berrick barnes (who i think is awesome) if he though barnes would be better. wayne bennett is a brilliant coach...i cant believe he could be called stupid! :shock:
