Polite reminder for those who don't subject themselves to 360 every weeknight that this miserable merkin has been an unapologetic cheerleader for V'landy's NRL since the day he took the job. Every bullshit crackdown, every kneejerk reaction, every stupid admin decision, he has rubbed V'landal dry every time.

f**k him.

Regardless of who you follow, the grand majority of league followers would not be sad to see this grub go.

Police have charged rugby league journalist Paul Kent with assault after he was allegedly involved in an altercation with a woman in Sydney’s inner west.

Kent, 53, is a rugby league journalist for The Daily Telegraph and a presenter at Fox Sports.

Police were called to a home in Lilyfield on Friday morning and arrested Kent and a 33-year-old woman, Nine News reported. The woman was released without charge.

Kent was charged with common assault and choking a person without consent.

Kent is a senior writer for The Daily Telegraph and is the co-host of the Fox Sports show NRL 360.

Newscorp said in a statement that Kent will temporarily cease writing for The Daily Telegraph and won’t appear on air for Fox in the coming weeks.

“Paul Kent has been stood down from his duties with News Corp and Fox Sports while he deals with this personal matter.”

He was granted bail and will face court later this month.
