Yesterday on NRL 360 Ikin grilled Kent about what he thought about Eddie Hayson's connection to NRL players. Kent was evasive but eventually said he knows Hayson and quite likes him?????

Kent has mentioned a few times that he knows Eddie....sort of makes him hypocritical considering he's judging Fifita and Hayne etc. Fox are dead set scraping the bottom of the barrel using Kent as a presenter. Looks very awkward and uncomfortable at the table....just a stop-gap until Ennis and Corey Parker make him obsolete next year.

Kent works on that show precisely because he is a prick
He constantly has something to whinge about and things that are catastrophically wrong with the game
It would be a boring show if you had Corey or Mick saying " it's no big deal"
It's entertainment
That's what many here forget about the press
They mistake it for news reporting and balanced well thought opinion

I think you are dead right however it is also the reason Ill probably stay away from League if the sharkies win it once.
Its about escapism for me. Vicarious thrill of watching blokes do what I never could. I don't care if they are not saints.Only want to hear about the football side of their lives.

Once they win --fishing will be my escapism ...Just like ET! Now theres a guy you could trust with your wife!.... I mean life!

Agree BF. I love the game. But seriously most top class league players don't come from royalty or fancy type skoolin. They are larrikins from the city or the bush or somewhere in between. Some are smart, some not. Don't give a rats.

It's all about that 80 minutes of entertainment we get. Not overly interested in all the other minutes.
