yep. if it was just a straight toss up between zeus vs the handful, i'd be leaning towards mellor, particularly after last saturday's game.

but it's not. obviously. it's about selcting 17 players so the controversial selection question involves 3 players: mcgoldrick, mellor and simmons - competing for 2 positions: left centre and right wing.

not that it's much of an actual question because the coach decides and we all have to deal with it either way.

With Centrebet paying $41 for Carl Webb I wasn't too unhappy ;-).

It seemed with mellor in the team the ball got to him more then McGoldrick, or does Mellor go looking for work, no silly penalties from Mellor, McGoldrick had already given 4 in first 4 games lot of penalties for a back considering Vagana hasnt been penalised all year

Mellor fell off badly.

Reece Williams made the initial miss. Mellor was posted on the tryline, didn't move off the line well wenough

I thought it was a good performance for a player still finding his feet in the NRL after being in the weaker Super League competition for the past few years. He'll get better defensively in the weeks to come and will grow from this game.
