PAYTEN CALLS ON WESTS TIGERS ARMY OF FANS
Wests Tigers prop Todd Payten has called on the Wests Tigers army of fans to be out in force for the match against Brisbane Broncos at ANZ Stadium on Saturday, May 3, at 8.30pm.
Brisbane is one of the form teams of the competition and we know we will be in for a very tough match, Payten said.
Im glad the match is our home game and not up there in Brisbane. I know I am speaking on behalf of the rest of the team when I say we need as many Wests Tigers supporters there as possible to help lift us against the Broncos.
The support we received in the win over Cronulla last Sunday was incredible. I know we were the away team but to be honest, I think there were more Wests Tigers supporters then than Sharks fans.
Our fans really lifted us in the second half and it inspired us.
If we can get those Wests Tigers fans who were at Cronulla to be at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night, it could well make the difference again.
I have said this before but it is true. Wests Tigers supporters are the best in the NRL. I just hope that when we run out against the Broncos, we will see plenty of Wests Tigers flags being waved.
This is our last game in Sydney until round 11 and we have the bye next weekend before travelling to Newcastle. It is important our fans get out to the Broncos game and really get behind us.
