Peachey could quite easily play in 2007, Stevens could keep playing another year as well.

Not re-signing Peach will be the death of our premiership chances this decade.

Frenzy.

He may well re-sign with the Sharks.

A little birdie told me the Simmons plans aren't going exactly to plan and that Simmo may be seen as a better winger than fullback...........................

I hope someone has told Mez if thats the case unless we are even looking younger than him like a Mitch Brown or Goodwin.

Big fan of Mitch Brown. Love to see him thrust into the limelight.

I wonder who else we could chalk up to replace the Peach.

it will be a retrograde step if peachey is signed for 2006

he has been a wonderful player in the past, the emphasis now on has been.

unfortunately cronulla s management seem either unable or not wiling to buy the top line players needed to challenge for the title.
the players being bandied around as likely signings do nothing to encourage many long suffering shark supporters........very very disappointing.

.

Pogo,

I think competition for top line First Graders is as fierce as ever.
Like you I get very disappointed with some of the players chase.
However there is so many options for top liners these days.
Rugby makes offers.
U.K Clubs make offers. (Increasingly)
The Big Influential NRL Clubs make offers. (We are not one)
Clubs like Souths and Parramatta are paying overs for players.
And now enter the Gold Coast.

I think the Club is doing the best they can under the circumstances.
We've been lucky to pick up players of the calibre of Noddy and Vagana in the last few otherwise seriously we'd be challenging Souths for the spoon in the past seasons.

How many players can souths afford thats the question, with rumors of Anasta, Orford, now Peachey & Stevens, this is typical souths will pay overs get established stars, and some stars on there way down, instead of making sure players like Bunny Gordon & John Sutton are retained, i would be sweating on these guys when off contract souths have habit of losing quality local juniors

How ironic. That sounds exactly like a description of the Sharks!

dragon slayer , when you line our side up against other teams man for man you find an overwhelming number of sides with better personnel.

why? why has the club attracted only established star players vagana and kimmorley in the last five years?

the club has a history of being very inactive in the player market , yes due in the past to a myriad of problems mainly financial.

everyone on this forum wants the sharks to succeeed, however its very obvious cronulla wont win a comp with the likes of nutley, isemonger, peachey, mcgoldrick, galloway etc etc

look what we are competing against!!

wake up board because whilst kimmorley is around we have a half a chance, whats the succession plan once he goes???

That's what I'm worried about.
If we don't win a premiership whilst he is with us then we have been blown a huge opportunity to build a side around him.
