Great Half probably plays too much with his heart then his head but he is still an awesome player and every bit as tough as his old man was.

Pearce has achieved 1000x more on the footy park than anyone here.
That's because he's a paid f**king footballer Einstein.

And probably off the field too - he dated/maybe did a Pussycat Doll.[/
Good for him. What's that got to do with the price of fish?

The Pearce hate is hilarious.

He's comfortably in the top 3 halfbacks in the game (assuming JT as a 5/8). Cronk, DCE and Pearce are comfortably ahead of the rest.
That says more about the state of the game than it does about Pissy.

He's not a bad player but he's constantly shown that when it's time to stand up he falls down, drops the ball, kicks the ball into row 32 and shits himself.

I've always been critical of Pearce. Poor SOO performances, his 2010 GF disappearing act, but I thought he was excellent against Newcastle. Very good coach and cattle around him, yes, but it was his running game, support he provided and all the rest that he managed on his own. Good on him. If Easts winning this year can provide a positive, it may just be that Pearce will finally gain the confidence to get the job done for NSW.

Putting Pearce in the same category as Cronk and DCE is whats hilarious.

He MIGHT be the best of the rest, but he certainly isnt in the same class as Cronk or DCE.

hahahaha, my god, the delusion of poor old TT, SBW-rimmer Tommy Smith & co is hilarious.

M. Puss will fail miserably on the big place because he's barely first grade standard. Watch for DCE to absolutely destroy him in the battle of the 7's. Epic dud of a player

As I've said many times, Pearce might not be origin material but he's a more than handy player at club level

Isn't that the same with Jamie Lyon? The opportunities he's been given at Origin level weren't the best.

That said he is the best centre in the game.

The saddest thing is Pearce is the best NSW have got. Don't rate him at all.

Pick a 5/8 out of position if they dont think Reynolds is ready/good enough.

Carney and Mullen would be so much better then James "Penalty" Maloney and Mitchell "Oh shit I have the ball" Pearce.

Anyone thinking Pearce should get another shot at origin is so f**king delusional its not funny, watch the play again with him running at the back peddaling qld defence with a big overlap and he flops on the ground after trying to grubber for himself and missing. He is completely useless at origin level, Maloney did sfa as well besides miss tackles and give away dumb penalties, certainly didnt calm Pearce down like Laurie the genius said he would.

Reminds me a lot of Anasta. Good at club level, but was never cut out for rep level and came up short in some big games.

Pearce has the benefit of a much better team around him this year than he's had in the past. The last time the Roosters went to the big game it was Todd Carney running the show. It's more of a fifty/fifty split now with he and Maloney.

All that being said, if I had the chance to shut down one of them and run the risk of the other being relied on I'd want Maloney shut down. He's far more dangerous and Pearce has never shown he can carry a teams offense. Good support game, great defense, solid kicking game but nothing else sticks out.

and your playing CV is (BBQ'ing alone doesn't count either) to judge him??- another neville nobody but as they opinions are like a-holes everyone has one.

So you're only allowed to judge a player if you are one yourself. If that's the case it works both ways, all those saying he's a good player can only do so if they've played the game.

So far in 2013:

Pearce 3 -DCE 0

DCE is a good player but there's not much between both he and Pearce IMO.

If DCE finally makes a line break sometime before 2016 then I much change my mind.

Since when did rugby league become a 1 on 1 sport? It's been a team sport for over 100 years and that won't change any time soon.

As for not making line breaks, you obviously don't watch much rugby league that doesn't involve the Roosters.

Edit: Just checked the stats on NRL.com, Pearce has 7 line breaks this year, DCE has 8.

What's wrong?

People have a problem with my bullshitting about DCE?

And firechild, you hit the nail on the head - it's a team sport.

Hence why people shouldn't lay so much blame at the feet of Mitchell Pearce over Origin.

As for DCE, like I said a very good player, but we've contained him like a virus in a WHO lab so far this year. Hopefully we don't see an outbreak on Sunday.
