Pearl Jam Coming back to Tour!

Pretty sure i've got a 10club ticket, but it's GA, so it's gonna be of no benefit (in my exceptional circumstances) unless I want to sleep through Ben Harper for an hour and a half.

The whole attraction of seeing Pearly is being able to see them multiple times per tour and get different shows every night. I saw 4 shows last tour, and 3 the tour before that, and there's still like a fifth of their live catalogue I haven't heard yet (Newcastle 07 knocked a LOT off the list but, thanks MR).

Got my ticket.

This will be my 3rd visit to see a live PJ act.

The Newcastle concert in 07 was the best I have ever seen at the Ent. Cent.

Alot of people complained about the set in the local papers, but IMO it was the greatest setlist I have ever seen. I wonder if Eddie will do his usual acoustic set during setup time....... would be interesting to see in an outdoor venue.

The best thing about that show was they way the rocked one of the worst venues in Australia. I have seen many top line gigs there and been unimpressed. Pearl Jam was different.

New single is a bit "poppy" but I guess thats how you get on the radio and sell plenty of singles and albums. Its a very catchy melody though......

Play me Vitalogy, No Code, Yield, and bits and pieces of the other albums and I'd be very happy. The worst thing about Pearl Jam shows is the people that talk through anything that isn't on Ten or Versus...

Well the first three were clearly the best. Yield went okay and the rest were so-so or worse.

Best songs:

Corduroy
Dissident
Rearview mirror
Black
Release

Are you a TC member? There are no TC allocated seats this gig, only advantage of a TC ticket this tour is that you get in 15 minutes earlier than everyone else.

Agreed about the mutilple shows, its nice to see a few each tour.

Only 2 months to go

My fav 5 songs would probably be:

Black
Release
Rearviewmirror
Alive
Light Years

Anything off their Greatest hits (Rearviewmirror) album could just about be considered my top 5 though, they got that compilation spot on for my tastes.

I really want to see them play Sitting at the Dock of the Bay live but I don't think it will happen.

Its hard to list my fav songs, theres so many... i do love those 5, but i quoted you because i agree with the sentiment about the 1st 3. I can't believe that most posters are anti-ten? That's their opus...

I'm going to the Sydney show, got the back mosh unfortuneatly.

And speaking of the new album...I don't mind it on first listen. They seem to have come full circle and are back making dumb rock. It isn't necessarily a bad thing it seems!

Backspacer is awesome. Can't wait for Sydney. There is a rumour about that there will be a full world tour next year.
Impossible to name a top 5 PJ list, everyone's will be different.

Alex, i can appreciate your sentiment... however i'll look over it due to the fact they self released it.
Look...if it was any other band I like I would probably think it was a cool commercial...but for a band that has fought against the corporates so hard their whole career it seems a weird turn...

I know the deal with the 10cc tix. It sucks.

1) Driftin'
2) State Of Love And Trust
3) I Got sh*t
4) Immortality
5) Hard To Imagine (original version)

... Right now anyway!

Their new single is distinctly average. They've really been going down in quality since "Yield".
