Why are Fifita and Woods getting off scott free after dogging it big time?

It wasn't Cronk and Smith belting our pack into submission.
I don't buy that. Yes, great players but this NSW set up is a farce. They didn't even turn up for a decider. You'd think they'd rip in as if the game meant something. Didn't fire a shot.
But hey, here's 30K for your nights work, if some of them can call it that. And you'll get it next game you lose. And the loss after that. And after that. Joke.
What do they do in camp for 10 days??? Can't they prepare for their loss over 2 or 3 days and save the NSWRL a shit load of money on travel, accommodation, food etc??? Why would that squad need 10 days together anymore. It's not working.
Oh and Peats is one dimensional. Offers nothing but stand and pass. Makes tackles. Could be worse but not by much.
Is Peats actually implying that he thinks he is one?
Fifita was heavily smothered everytime he ran the ball. He had 4 big boppers, maguire, Napa, wallace and whoever was the closest end rower rush out to swamp him. They did this in the knowledge that no other nsw forward ( especially the other prop and lock) would take advantage of this. There was no plan to use fifita as a decoy or have him pass after drawing the big boppers ( we actually did this to good effect in game 1, and Jackson of all people benifited from it. Imagine if J.trbo was in his place). With fifita so heavily targeted it's up to the other front rower to take adantage. If woods had taken advantage then Queensland would have stopped swamping fifita.Who said they are?
Every rating I have read and every conversation I have heard/read has panned them.
I haven't seen one person name Woods as a player in a NSW team for next year.
Fifita played well below expectations no doubt. But at least he has shown he is capable in previous big games.

I'm glad the posters here have no real say on selections.
At what point do you think it would have been optimal for Peats to run? The forwards were monstered by the Queensland defence. Their line speed was incredible causing slow play the balls. If Peats tried to run, it would have either meant him getting caught by markers, or forcing a pass to the forwards right at the defensive line.
It's no coincidence that in Game 1 where NSW dominated the forward battle and had great defence that Cam Smith was neutralised.
The key issue with Game 3 from NSW was their linespeed in defence was non-existant (makes sense if Dean Pay is the D coach). QLD beat the crap out of them, and tore them down.
Smith cheats more than a wwe bad guy. He is probably the best player I've seen but he's not exactly a top bloke on the field
You're completely underestimating how much impact the worlds best hooker and halfback can have on a forward packIt wasn't Cronk and Smith belting our pack into submission.
Everyone was praising Peats after game 1 because he did his job and did it well and are now having a go. He doesn't deserve it.
If you wanted your hooker just to pick it up and throw it every play the ball go the best defender which is McInnes, tackling machine. Peats missed the tackle on McGuire that let them pretty much win the 2nd game, McInnes wouldn't have.
