One can only hope for two short stints 10 minutes each either side of halftime. Kid has had f**k all footy, sitting on the bench.

He played with David Fifta, Xerri and Bradman Best for Australia

He is not going to lean to be a first grader from the bench.

Sharks forwards coach Luke Lewis was at PointsBet Stadium when Pele received his news.

“The boys erupted when he was told. It was incredible the reaction. He’s a much-loved bloke and we all went berserk,’’ Lewis told the Daily Telegraph.

“I was there in the pre-season and he was one player who just kept working hard on what he needed to do and he never complained and just kept running and running.

“He never gave up. Others would give up, but he didn’t.

“He’s as strong as an ox, but only time in first grade and time on the field will get him where he needs to go,” Lewis said.

I thought Hannay did very well in his use of Pele, I doubt he would have come on in that last stint had it been close, but it was not so got another spell.

Imagine if he didn’t lose all that Covid development time. He’d be a year more advanced and maybe pushing a Top 17 spot permanently.

My Expectations are he will miss a few, give away a 6 again, cost us a try maybe even a tired arm costing 10 in the bin. The chances of those sky rocket every min over a 10 min stint. Any of those boxes not ticked off is a bonus.
He is there to add impact, get some much needed experience, give him something to work on. How he goes will really come down to what type of possession we get when he is on and if the players around him lift when he is on or not. So yes I will comment on how he goes & hopefully it will be a highlight from the past 6 weeks but I’m not expecting a donkey to win the Melbourne cup

I want to analyse this now. LOL

4/4 bonues.

I thought Hannah subbed him on perfectly to balance some valuable game time and experience. Helps when we were up by so much early.

Didn't need help as it happens. Might in 2 weeks vs Panthers if he's retained. They'll spot him.

Doubt he’ll be retained unless we lose more forwards but I imagine Teig comes back in or Fifita if fit.
I do hope he gets a handful of games this year though

Reminds me of Paleasena.... The size, the head gear, the kamakazi pinball style, the worry that anyone with a little bit of zip will leave him grasping at air haha...

I like what I see so far - will need to work on his mobility I suspect, but will need to do that getting game time, so we have to accept some defensive issues.

Defensively he was solid, a lot better than I thought he would have gone.
Offensively tho was a little underwhelming with only 1 hit up in each of his stints. Walked back to get in line without any real energy to get back and set for a hit up considering he only did 5, 4, & 7 min stints. Yes that didn’t give him much time to get plenty of runs but would have liked a bit more energy especially that first stint knowing the siren is going to go in under 5 min of getting on the park.
Definitely be picking him again this season but carful what games he plays in and about the same game time, if we can manage the rotations.
Think we pulled him after only 4 min of half time as we where down a player ( smart move ) if not think he would have done another few min at least.
Definitely a future prospect & looked slimmer than in the trials wouldn’t hurt to keep dropping weight tho
