Yeah the pink panthers jersey is one of the best in the NRL and it is just perfect for the oak sponsorship. Not sure how panthers fans would feel about that though.

I agree that the pink and chocolate soldier kits look great and fit so well with the sponsor... I wonder if they would look at their white jersey going to a vanilla malt colour... haha...

While i love the pink and the choc i still think they should return to their iconic allsorts colour pallette... save the pink for away or special occassions and use variations of the choc for their heritage... so:
Primary/Home: Black with green, red and yellow trim (8-13 times)
Away: Pink or White with green red and yellow trim (8-13 times)
Heritage: Chocolate (1-4 times)
Alternate: Pink or White with green red and yellow trim (1-8 times)

This is the best logo IMO:

It looks awesome, it's a mix of our 90's and present logo with an even more modern look. I don't know how someone can come up with this mock, for it to be public and the official logo looks so average in comparison.

The logo is terrible imo. Looks too much like that horrible vehicle they wheel out that looks like a Panther getting a surprise enema. The original is far better.

This redesign proposes black/gold/white jerseys with red and yellow in the logo.

They need to cut that down to 3 or maybe 4 colours max, with only 2 primary colours (and probably white as an accent):

Black/white
Black/purple
Black/teal
Black/gold
Black/red
Black/grey

Brown/white
Brown/light blue
Brown/gold
Brown/red

I love my Pantiters.

The font looks like some 1990s nfl branding.

I am not someone who particularly cares about what our logo/colours are, only that we have something recognisable; i.e. consistency.

I am actually okay with Gold. The logo and font is ordinary, but who cares? Win games and the logo could be Bunniesman's Lover's riding crop for all I care.

As others have said, Sharks and Dogs dropped their locations only to adopt them again. People are proud of Penrith being Penrith and feel like they're being excluded. On the other side of that equation, it's a crafty marketing move if we are shifting towards a "Western" name and we can pull it off, and I cant imagine any fans actually withdrawing support for the club based solely on a name change.

How about we make the finals next year instead of playing dress up?

I have mentioned in the Penrith thread possible all the colours changes aren't helping the branding. Don't get me wrong rubbish on field and poor marketing plays more of a part.

Though when you turn on a TV you should be alble to say in 90% of the games Penrith is playing at 1st glance. That siad they are trying something so hard to be critical

Its possible they were doing that to gauge people's reaction.


Given its been pretty negative, its not a surprise it would change.


Personally i like the leaping panther part of it. But the font is terrible.

Most likely an early draft but it will need some serious reworking to get it up to snuff.

• Colours need rethinking
• Wordmark needs to be scrapped
• Panther's head should not face directly forward if leaping in 3/4 view - it looks like a 2D mask rather than a 3D face.
• Linework needs to be simplified, there are certain shapes that are so small they wont be legible at most sizes. The top of the front leg is a disaster.

This is still the best one ive seen. If they cleaned it up a bit, and obvoisly changed the colours, it would be perfect.

Just use the football shape in the middle, like a Jets badge. Its simple, it would be pretty distinctive. As for the actual logo, its only really comparable to the South Sydney Rabbit (probably the most recognisable logo in Aussie sport) so its obviously not a terrible design.

Even if you dont love it, its hard to hate.

edit: oh, And that "P" would be great. It could represent "penrith" or "panthers", so it would be hard to argue they are losing heir heratage. Its just another piece of their image that they could really push to represent them.


The more i think about this the more in love with the idea i am. I know im just going to be disappointed, but i cant help hoping they actually use this.

Talk about professionalism.

Looks like they read what people were saying and quickly changed their minds.
