I have heard off the official site that we may have signed a lower grade forward from the Panthers. It was heard on 2KY.

I have also heard that Frank Pritchard has been talking to an NRL club.

Having watched the PL grand final this kid played pretty well and would be a good buy if the Eels are who he is talking to.

The Eels seem to be very good at one thing..................signing reverve grade players from other clubs.

This kid won't be a reserve grade player for long.

Promising junior, played quite a few games off the bench amongst Swain, Waterhouse and Rodney. Played quite well in a losing side on Sunday.

This is what their site says.....

Date of Birth: 03-11-83, Darlinghurst NSW
Position: Utility
Height: 187cm; Weight: 106kg
Rep Honours: NSW, New Zealand
Frank started with Penrith in SG Ball in 2001 and finished the season in Division 1. He's big and strong enough to play in the forwards and quick enough to play in the backs.

He would fit the big and uglee mould....

I remember seeing Frank Pritchard in a few penrith games and he looked impressive. The panthers have high oppinions of this player and i think he could make a mark in first grade given the chance.

Frank Prichard is a very positive signing!
He is big and fast but with the abilty to be physical.
Equally at home taking it up the middle or attacking the fringes.
Very much in a Petro Civoniceva mold

Has this been confirmed?
Why would he leave Penrith when he will most likely play 1st grade there now Sattler has gone?

Danny Galea is the player that will come onto the bench to replace Shane Rodney that will move to lock forward.

Shane Rodney what a player. Such confidence for a player with such little experiance, and really tough for a little forward.

Pritchard would be a sensational signing regardless of whether he plays Premier league or not. He's got speed, strength and youth on his side. It's obvious that those who don't understand why we would sign him hasn't even seen the guy play.

Besides do we know whether infact we have signed him or anyone from that team at all, I know for a fact you can rule out the following players from that squad.

Steve Turner = Melbourne
Chris Hicks = Manly
Shane Elford = Wests
Ben Reynalds = Wests
George Rose = Roosters
Richard Fa'aosos = Can't remember which team.

Why sign lower graders when we have talented lower graders already at the club.

cause BS dont like them.....they dont kiss his ass enough.

Depth is a factor .

However if you believe that we would sign a reserve grade player for the sake of it please get a copy of some of the games this kid has played.

We need an imposing presence on the field, someone who doesn't take a step back and layeth down the smack.

If we have signed Prichard he can be that player.

Pritchard is a top young footballer but I ask colonel eel,are the Panthers as stupid as the Eels to let one of there young guns leave.

Where the only club that lets the good players go.

Penrith would no way release him or have some one snatch him.

Mate we have been winning the CC for 7 years straight,I guess we have talent in the backyard.

Don't doubt that we have the talent in the backyard but is it ready for first grade? This kid is - played eight games there already and impressed everytime.

The Panthers may not be looking to lose him however he may want a better opportunity to play first grade then he may get at the Panthers behind Swain, Puletua, Galuvao, Waterhouse, Rodney, Ross and Clinton.

I have heard people whinge that we don't sign class players anymore just reserve graders - well this kid is a class player and probably would be in grade if it wasn't for the blokes mentioned above.

He played NSW Residents earlier this year and the majority of those players have all played or are in first grade now.

Nobody has confirmed this however as I said it was mentioned on 2KY that we had signed a lower grade player from Penrith. It was also said that Prichard was talking with another NRL club. I have only asked whether or not it was true as I think he would be a good buy - even better than Cannings, Muspratt and Muckert.

I guess PJ,Geddes,Clinton,Sargent,Wilson etc.. were ready, reading the advertiser today was a story about how Liam Fulton has made the Aussie Schoolboy team and is a local junior but couldn't crack it with our rep.teams and is now on the verge of playing 1st.grade for the Tigers.

We have Williams,Hinchcliffe,Smith,Delanley etc.. on the verge of the top grade.Should we give them a go and see if maybe 2 turn out like PJ and co. or should we use Kavitera,Staplton,Pearson and with their frustration of not getting a go in the top grade they leave and become stars.

Young players need the experience and once they have tasted the top grade they become hungrier, there is a lot of talent but all they need is a CHANCE.
