Just grabbed this off NRL.com. I Believe this would be amongst the most 'high profile' players that have gone over to France to play league....
Penrith back-up hooker and first division skipper Chris Levy is headed to the south of France to pursue his rugby league career.
Levy, the son of Panthers chief executive Mark, has joined first division winger Martin O'Connell in signing a contract with Villefranche.
"We're getting our visas and things finalised now and the contracts should be here next week," Levy said.
"If everything goes to plan we'll probably leave soon after the grand finals."
Penrith has a long-running relationship with the French Rugby League and has given French youngsters game time in its lower grades.
Former Panthers Troy Perkins and Simon Dorrell are currently playing for French team Toulouse.
Interesting news, i think this is quite a good sign for French rugby league, that they at least have the funds to purchase a quality player like Chris Levy...
Any thoughts?
MFC.
