We are weaker in defence without Dylan but I don't think he has been good enough this year that we are significantly weaker.
Changes to the spine in anyway are not great but we may actually improve in attack with someone else at fullback

One minute your saying he wont be there this year, next its 2022 finals...

The idea he doesnt come straight back in this year when fit is ridiculous regardless to how good critta goes tmoz.

May the best man out of edwards, staines, critta and turuva get fb next year but thats a long way away.

Souths are going to be a really tough challenge tmoz and im expecting a really hard even game.

He is one of 4 guys off contract next season, In a very tight cap mind you. Crichton having a blinder in a finals game, into a strong pre-season could cause trouble for Edwards. Thankifully a lack of centre will see him stay in the 1 next season, after that not so clear

Edwards out, surprised Staines is coming onto the wing instead of Naden

Staines and Naden are basically a coin toss - they both have their strengths and weaknesses. If Cleary was willing to start f**king Tyrone May at center over Naden in a grand final, then maybe it's not such a surprise.

I like Edwards, but he's beginning to be somewhat injury prone. Some tough decisions to be made there.

Ivans known for late changes.

I wonder whether we might see:
2. Momo
3. Tago

I doubt it. But momo did quite well on the wing against the bunnies only a few weeks back and tagos lookes really strong any chances his had this year.

Cant see it happening, but also never shocked with ivans game day suprises anymore.

Edwards isn’t starting to become injury prone. He’s missed 48 games over 6 years and at a pretty consistent clip. Every time he starts building some great form he gets injured and has to start again.

He is our fullback now and regardless of how Critta goes I’d be bringing Edwards straight back for the next two. Next year though it’s a shootout between Critta, Staines and Dyl. I think Turuva will be too raw, we’ll be light at centre and Charlie might still be underweight. If he does get the gig we need to start getting Charlie and Critta to float and drop into plays a lot more.

I think Staines coming onto the wing makes sense given Souths tactic of kicking in behind last time out. So having that acceleration will help there.

For next year though...Staines needs to hit the gym hard. Then put up a fight to be fullback.

Then hopefully we can have a Crichton/Turuva centre pairing at some stage.

I thought Turuva was a fullback in waiting? (I haven't seen him play, just going off what others have said here)

Played a mix of centre and fb through the grades and played centre at schoolboy level.

Defensivley i think hed either start on the wing or fb in the nrl. Big ask to have a young guy start at cebtre. Probs where he ends up tho unless he killls fb which is where he played most nsw cup this year.

In terms of his body shape, size, and hes running style and the way he plays he reminds me a bit of former panther, Kevin Naqiama.

Hes already very physically developed and looks to have great speed and is hard to tackle.

Looks extremley promosing imo.

Played centres before. I'd play him at FB as a preference...but they seem to want Staines to be FB....

I'd like to see Turuva be the FB though.

Id love to see him at fb too. The extra space there seems to suit his dynamic running game.
