Like I said every club bar Storm have struggled first few years.
Titans had a little blip of 2 season success but year after were wooden spooners and took a further 6 years to make the 8 again
Dolphins almost? lol. They so far have finished 13th 10th and currently 11th
Let’s hope Perth can struggle to by making the top four twice with their first five yrs

The Bears’ black and red colours will remain, while the logo will be unveiled on Wednesday week when Origin II is played in Perth.

Assistant coaches and general managers of football have already been interviewed by the NRL, including one of Meninga’s long-term assistants with the Australian team, Tristan Hay.

Reckons he can tap kangaroos players and also focus on local wa Indiginous talent

Winning 2 or 3 more games isn't going to suddenly make the Pears "popular" in Perth.

They need a profile in the early years.

The issue for the Pears, is how long before the Sydney media (and fans) start calling for them to return to the East Coast. This shit will happen, and people need to be ridiculed when they suggest it.

Winning games isn't priority number 1 for expansion teams.

We are only about a season away from people calling the Dolphins a failure, but the reality is we need to wait at least a decade before such a call can be made.
I think that's why the club has been setup like it has. None can call for the Bears to return to Sydney because the North Sydney club never left North Sydney.

An NRL owned Perth Bears with a WA board and CEO isn't ever going to move the club to Sydney.

Any fan or media person thinking this is a relocated North Sydney isn't paying any sort of attention.

The Stadium is opposed by over 60% of Tasmanians, independent reports state it will return $44 for every $100 spent on it, the cost is blowing out and will cost nearly double the original estimate, the government is spiralling in debt and is about to be defeated on the floor and there is a very strong possibility now the club is dead as a result. The best bit is that the much vaunted roof makes the ground unsuitable for cricket who have made it clear they won’t play at the Stadium. The afl never wanted a side here in the first place, and it’s very likely they are about to get their wish. I said all of this a year ago but clowns like you told me I was wrong.
The upcoming election will put and end to all this backwards and forwards. Both Libs and Labor are in favour of the team and stadium. Who will you vote for?

Not to mention WA investing $85million into the club isnt going to be letting it go anywhere!

Mal Meninga brings the kind of gravitas the little country people of Perth don't get to experience often. Great acquisition by the NRL to get them started.

Really? Just like the last election? You are completely ignorant of how things work here mate. You have no idea at all.

The Dolphins are on a tear now, and have flogged both the Storm and Bulldogs over the past month … they look a very dangerous team
