WA Premier Roger Cook has just dropped a video on Facebook offically announcing that an agreement has been reached and Perth will have a club joining the NRL in 2027 or 2028.

$60mill in game funding to be spent on RL in WA + $5.6mill in marketing and game day support over 7 years from WA Govt.

A good outcome all round in my opinion. Will allow us to expand into a whole new market whilst having an exisiting supporter base which will help draw crowds in Sydney. Presumably they can play a couple of games at North Sydney oval as well.

Also, it opens up broadcasting and scheduling options which should add value to future broadcast agreements. Having the opportunity to do 4 or even 5 live games back to back on the same day is available to us now:

1:30 Warriors home game (3:30 local)
3:30 eastern state kick off
5:30 eastern state kick off
7:30 eastern state kick off
9:30 Bears home game (7:30 local)
