I though trial games were out due to the cricket season.
First game has to be in Perth.

Agree first game needs to be in Perth and I'm sure it will be. If it's a double header, you could have it on the Sunday after Vegas kicks off the season on the Saturday.

Regarding the Manly matches, it may be in both teams favour to have a reciprocal arrangement for the Bears-Manly match to always be played at SFS. It could be one of the event fixtures of the Sydney calendar. Manly giving up a Brookvale match every other year to save travelling to Perth the next. Do Perth based fans really give a shit about seeing Manly either?

I was going to suggest Warriors as a pull for the ex-pat Kiwi community in Perth, but any of those 3 clubs would be a good choice.

If the the Central Coast game this year was a litmus test for the NRL Bears' future then the Manly game would also make sense there given the history.

Maybe, maybe not, but it’s one of the games that Norths fans would definitely be motivated to travel over to Perth for. For that reason, it makes most sense to host Bears vs Manly in Perth. It’s one of the reasons why the WA Government signed on to be part of this team, they want east coasters to travel over to WA.

You wouldn’t need Manly fans apparently, there’s supposedly 200,000 Bears fans that can’t wait to see the Bears play Manly again. If that game is over in Perth, there’s strong motivation for the old Norths fans to travel over there to see it.
