In the early days of the joint venture Peter Sharp had plenty to work with. He had two teams to pick from and the club had just received 8 million from the NRL. The 2001 side comprised of players such as Mark O'meley, Ben Walker, Brett Kimmorley, Adam Muir, Geoff Toovey, Phil Bailey, Nik Kosef, & Paul Stringer and they didn't even make the finals.

And Misty Bee once again you are 100% incorrect. For a start Harris and Stewart or, 'Stuart' as you spell it were with us last season. Des Hasler's Manly team has won more games this season than with Peter Sharp at the helm last year.

Des Haslers manly team that I saw at parramatta stadium this year was much much worse than anything I saw at parramatta under peter sharp.

Considering O'Meley and Bailey were only starting to come into their own, Kimmorley cant play unless Opes is coach, Kosef spent more time on the sidelines than on the field, Toovey and Muir were well past their prime........I think Sharp did a pretty good job, hell, went 1 game from a finals berth in '02. Cant see Hasler's team doin that.........

Great to have Sharp back at Parra. Great man and a very good coach. His time at Manly was a shame as the cattle there was very poor. Personally I hope he is Parras next coach.

Actually if Hasler's team win this weekend and the Tigers, Raiders and Rabbitohs lose then they will have gone 1 game from a finals berth....


Oh, and Booey, read the posts - Sharp DID have some good players to work with....
