Peter Siddle

Before he got injured, Siddle's bowling was atrocious, and since his return from injury he has done absolutely nothing to warrant selection in the Australian side ... yet he gets selected for the limited overs sides.

In the 20/20 his figures read 1/34 off 4 overs
In the one dayer his figures read 1/51 off 8 overs

How the f*ck can the selectors justify his selection?

I just want to know .... am I missing something about Siddle? Does he have any potential (that I am missing)?

I am absolutely perplexed how he was selected.
I just don't know.

This adds to my perplexity on Siddle almost automatic selection

NSW left-armer Doug Bollinger and Victorian Peter Siddle are likely to find themselves jostling for the final paceman's berth
.
Siddle is highly rated within the Australian dressing room for his big heart and ability to bowl long spells.
Chief selector Andrew Hilditch, after picking Siddle to play in the current matches against Sri Lanka, said last week that he was an integral part of Australia's plans for the Ashes. ''Peter is a key bowler in the squad in all forms of the game and is ready to take his place,'' Hilditch said

If Bollinger is healthy how the f*ck can there be any discussion on who between Siddle or Bollinger should be selected?

If the selectors are seriously thinking this AND they select Siddle I might just be hoping for an Pom victory in the first test. I have never supported the Poms and I thought I never would ... but this could be the straw that breaks the camels back.

There can be no doubt whatsoever that Siddle is a f**king brown nose. He's done a great job kissing the arses of all the people that matter within the Australian team. IF he actually gets selected ahead of Bollinger I will have truly given up on Australian cricket.

I'm hoping for 5-0 to the Poms.

This talk about North getting the captaincy because some petals don't like Pup, and the continual selection of utter sh*t as though they were the second coming of Bradman and Lillee just makes it imperative that we get flogged so that the lunatics running the asylum are booted. Chappell looks like he's going to go into bat for youth and form, but Hilditch and at least one of the Tassie's have to go as well.

The only place Siddle is in front of Doug is the back fat and gay tat stakes.

The worst part is, Dougie can bowl longer spells than Siddle! So the main reason they supposedly rate Siddle isn't even enough to get him over Bollinger.

Siddle is pathetic. He's a back of the length medium-fast bowler with no variation who puts nothing on the ball. He hasn't got the control to put the ball in the same spot and frustrate the batsmen out and he hasn't got the ability to get them out himself, unless the pitch is helping him out. He doesn't swing it at all...even Mitch and Watson swing the fking thing. His continued selection is the greatest mystery since Mick Lewis

Siddle's biggest problem is his sh*thouse action. While he has it he will never improve.

Harris is a better bowler than Siddle. I don't want a test bowler who is capable of 50 overs. I want a test bowler with variation, who is sharp and can take wickets.

You pick spin bowlers to bowl sh*tloads of overs, not fast bowlers. It's a defeatist attitude. pick 3 quicks and 2 spinners, after the opening 20 overs or so, bring the spin on at one end and use the three quicks in rotation at the other.

It's not f**king hard!

Siddle is a f**king hack, one of the sh*ttiest test bowlers I've seen in a long long time.

He reminds me of Andy Bichel. Tries hard, but seriously - if he's a frontliner we're f**ked.

Well, Andy Bichel without the talent.

He's an example of EVERYTHING that's wrong with Australian cricket at the moment. He's a good bloke, tries hard and is mates with Ponting... And that qualifies him for first crack at the test side?

If he's picked ahead of Bollinger I hope England win the first test by a zillion.

FFS PB

If sh*ttle is picked for the test ahead Dougie that will just about do me, the guy is just so average. I'm just so over the Aussie Team being an episode of Ricky and friends.

Surely Harris is well ahead of Siddle anyway. Siddle is rubbish, has potential but not showing it at the moment so piss him off to Shield cricket and see how he goes. Bollinger should be first quick selected IMO. I'd be taking 4 quicks into the Gabba test.

If this myth gets a game in Brisbane ahead of Dougie or Harris, then I don't think I'll be watching much of it...and CA wonder's why interest in Cricket in Australia is on the decline.

he really does lack control, far too short the other night and when he tried to compensate and pitch the ball up, he bowled a couple of full tosses

sorry, but he is not up to this level of cricket and he cant even get good figures in state cricket so why the f**k is he even being considered ?

he is still being selected from his figures in the Shield final from two years ago

I honestly cannot believe Siddle is even being considering for Bollinger's spot.

This sh*t is has just become pathetic... Is there one person in Australian cricket at the moment with at least half a f**king brain cell?
