PETITION: Axe The Tax, It affects Souths

I have set up a petition to axe the proposed the New South Wales Poker Machine Tax, which may threaten the viability of 7 New South Wales and is the reason why the salary cap can't be increased.

I will take the petition to New South Wales Government House in May when I go there on a school excursion and give a hard copy to my local MP, David Campbell to forward to Michael Egan. Alternatively if I see Michael Egan I will hand it too him and give him a mouth full of what I think of the tax.

IT AFFECTS THE RABBITOHS BECAUSE SOUTHS LEAGUES WILL MORE THAN LIKELY NOT BE ABLE TO GIVE THE CURRENT AMOUNTS OF FUNDING THAT IT CURRENTLY GIVES TO THE RABBITOHS. IT WILL MAINLY HURT SOUTHS JUNIORS, IT'S IN THE LONG TERM INTEREST FOR YOU TO SIGN THIS PETITION.

Keep the Salary cap as it is and it will not effect South Sydney in the Salary Cap departmnet. As Souths do not what the cap increased.

Souths are not in a High Risk status over the pokies tax.

Thanks for the thought, but the leagues club does not actually give any money to the football team. In fact it owes the football team money :shock:

Anyway I don't give a toss about the Taxs. If league cannot survive without pokey money from pensioners then so be it.

Souths is the one NSW club least affected by the tax. If clubs rely on pensioners to put footballers on the park, so be it, but let them cop their own punishment for it. Leave us out of it.

We get our money from our vast sponsorship base.

I say keep the tax. Its about time someone addressed the poker machine problem in this state. It'd also be the great leveler in the NRL, as the rich boys get pulled back a few pegs.
