Hi Fellow Rugby League Supporters!

If you are one of the very many who are sick of the incompetant refereeing by Steve Clark week in week out that all teams in the 1st grade NRL competition have to endure please put your name to the following petition which demands that the NRL takes action against Steve Clark.

The NRL attempted to have him retire in 2004, but obviously those attempts were not good enough and the fans and players of 1st grade rugby league in Australia in 2005 still have him making decisions which he himself has stated have been wrong and therefore may have cost teams the difference between winning and losing a game.

Put your name and the team you support to this petition NOW!

Cheers

 Not one referee this season can say they have been great, but by sacking Steve Clark, who do you expect to referee? Hamstead had a shocker as well on the weekend, but i doubt the NRL will just "sack" a ref like that.

There are lower grade referees who deserve the chance to referee the 1st grade games, in particular there was a female referee for the premier league Panthers vs North Sydney Bears game on Friday night who was quite impressive!

Give them a go, what is there to lose? Clark is consistently wrong and deserves to be relegated to lower grade games!

Cheers

Like everyone else I like to vent at the ref occasionally, but you have to take into account that these guys are the ONLY ones involved in every single play of the game. Realistically they should get more help from linesmen, but I'm not sure they even watch the game anymore.

I'd rather see a guy like Clarke back his opinion (if he gets the majority right) over someone like "Play-on" Paul Simpkins, he's terrified of making a decision, so we end up with something akin to a yawnion ref where knock-ons and forward passes are just ignored.

We'll never see any ref have a mistake free game, but it wouldn't hurt us to have a few more full-time professionals to call on.

Are you a referee and have I touched a raw nerve??

Do the referees also have a Code of Conduct??

We as supporters deserve better, the players certainly deserve better, everybody makes mistakes, but Clark continues to get it wrong and rugby league as a whole is the loser!

Everybody is entitled to an opinion, that is why forums are set up and making offensive comments to persons who choose to participate in these forums is not acceptable.

Who can honestly say they are happy with Clark's refereeing? He himself has admitted how wrong he has been![

So what if Steve Clarke makes a few mistakes. if performances were marked on mistakes and inconsistencies, Chris Walker would be in Jim Beam Cup. Steve is our second most senior referee and is respected by many players from the clubs.
Steve still has about 4 years in the top level ahead of him and I can safely say he picks up most mistakes than the mistakes he misses. What nerve has Steve touched on you? a missed forward pass, a knock-on.... get over it! In the end its your teams defence that allows points on the board, not the knock on that occured two sets ago!

Good idea, let's get rid of all passionate supporters. Then the NRL teams can play in front of no-one at all.

The AFL and RU would love that.

Steve Clark is one of the only refs you can have (some) confidence in

Tony Archer has to go first and Shayne Hayne shouldnt be allowed to even run the line.
