Oh what a lot of crap.. We have the talent. They would be in the NRL is they didnt possess some kind of talent.
using this logic, souths have the talent. but let's keep it real

And until they had a horror run of injuries to their stars, they played bloody well. They slaughtered Cronulla, a team we couldn't beat.

Which ex-players?....if what u say is true then so be it - I for one would like to know.....but its hard for people to wade (I'm gonna put him name in everywhere - he's parra's new hero ;-) ) through the lies and truth on the internet and know what to believe.

Recently I think you posted that you had been talking to ex-player's families about how bad Smithy is.....I know you also posted that you talked to Hindy's parents.....who else? Do they have ex-parra player get togethers?.....I'm seriously not trying to be a smart arse here - I just want to know the truth.

Yeah, we actually had a ex-parra get together after the Cowboys game. Anthony Boyd was down from Brissy, Roy Friend came over from Cronulla, Steve Crouch and Scott Donald also came along. I can understand why people wont automatically believe me as the amount of rumours and crap that is posted on these forums is unbelievable. But at the same time, even if you dont want to take it as 100% truth, just leave it dwelling in the back of your mind when you are trying to sum up exactly what is going on.

OK cool.....thanks for saying who.

I will add tho, that Scot Donald left Parramatta when we were kicking serious arse....did he believe back then that we were coached badly?.....I was disappointed to see Scoty go, but I thought it fair enough that we had others we preferred and that he had an opportunity elsewhere.....also the other 3 guys mentioned are not big names - I was thinking u meant people link Hindy, BobCat, etc.

The question was did we have get togethers, I was answering that. lol.

Ok, I am probably gunna talk out of school here, and I really dont know whether I should or not. Yes, both Ian Hindmarsh and Andrew Ryan have said to me that they will not be back at Parra whilst Smithy was here. And I would dare say that they would love to come back and play for the Eels as much as we would all love to have them back. Bobcat cried when he told me of the way Smith treated him. And its not so much in a phsysical sense, but a mental one. Smith has this way of telling players they are no good. I dont know whether he expects that to be some sort of reverse psychology but if you are told you are sh*t often enough, you are gunna start to believe it. But I guess the 01 GF just proves it. I mean he told them to go out there and treat it like a normal game... PFFT!!! He should been firin em up. Playing a bit of ACDC in the background or something!

Nikki ,Iam in no way questioning your truthfullness in this BUT think about it.When a girl gets dumped by a guy- how often does she go around singing his praises. When you get the sack-is it ususally from the greatest boss you ever knew,or the shittiest %#$%# of a boss?
All I am saying is the word of an ex of any kind is not always the most reliable

What about the young kids he doesn't like and he tells them that they will never play first grade as long as he is coach, mainly because he doesn't like them, how many do you think have been shattered by this and actually give the game away????? Smithy needs a change of clubs, Souths need someone like Smith............we need a successful coach!!!!!

I like that, that's cool...but there's another saying being heard too much out Parra way lately...

"WHATSA MATTA PARRAMATTA...CANT YA CLIMB THE F*CKIN LADDER??"

Oh wait. I am a Parra fan.

Well if Bobcat "cried" when he told you, I am glad his tough Canterbury team mates were not around to see it. We must have a lot of sooky ex players. Steve Witt cried too didn't he.
Both Witt and Ryan should have thanked Brian Smith for discovering them and giving them the opportunity to have a crack at the NRL. Ryan came from nowhere to player SOO under Smith.
He went to Canterbury under the cheating Bulldogs Salary Cap deal. Lovey, in this day and age MONEY talks all languages. If Clubs throw a massive contract at them, they take it. Loyalty means SFA. Believe me.
Save up and buy Andrew a box of tissues.
Did you watch the 2001 Grand Final? Newcastle played probably the best half of Grand Final football ever. Unstoppable.
If you have to motivate players to play in a Grand Final they are not up to it. The greatest of all coaches, Jack Gibson ALWAYS told his players to treat every game the same.

I don't agree with everything you say, but I can't agree more with this one. If being in a grand final isn't enough to get you motivated, find a different job.

SMIYH IS TOO TECHNICAL AND SCIENTIFIC FOR THIS GAME.
HE STOPS CREATIVITY AND MAKES PLAYERS THINK TOO MUCH OUT THERE INSTEAD OF PROMOTING EXSPRESSION AND LOVE OF TEAMATES TO READ AND ENJOY EACH OTHER AND TRUST EACHOTHER WITH NATURAL INSTICTS-PLAY WHATS IN FRONT ON EVERY SINGLE PLAY- SET PLAYS SOMETIMES BUT ALLOWING THE NATURAL FOOTBALLING INSTICTS DOMINATE INSTEAD OF THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
HE DOESNT AND WILL NOT SEE THIS-PARRA ARE OVERCOACHED IN UNNECESSARY THINGS AND UNDERCOACHED IN IMPORTANT THINGS LIKE HALVES HAVING FREEDOM TO READ HIS OWN OPTIONS AND NOT OVERKICKING

Another example, both Sean and Health Le'strange. Brian told them both last year that whilst he is coach there is no place for them in First Grade. Heath thankful went to the Rooster and albeit due to injuries, got a run in First Grade. Sean was so shattered that he has moved to England to work and doesnt want to look at a football. So just try to imagine what Smiths exact words to this boys were. Musta been harsh to chuck it in all together. The list of this just goes on and on. And they are not sooks Parra Pete. Just coz they are built like brick sh*thouses doesnt mean that they have no emotion. You chip away at the hardest brick and it will eventually crumble.

Good on you Nikki for saying it like it is. Smith is an immature sook and belittles the players if they in any way question or doubt him. If they make a mistake he ridicules them, if he makes a mistake then it is just because they didn't understand him.
