Why is it an obsession????

Could it not be passion instead???

This negative behaviour/attitude is like an add meaning machine. You take a brand new clean bright white shirt and dip it into a bucket of mud and then you take it back out again. The bucket of mud is your unresolved "stuff" (of your past) and the white shirt is anything new that comes along from outside your eyes and ears. Instead of appreciating (feeling) the bearer of the information that is the white shirt (appreciate uniqueness) you have to dip it into this bucket of crap (your past - add meaning machine process) so it can no longer be what it is. You have to turn everything into the image of the mud because you don't want to see the world in any other way. I believe that it is just a comment he has made and it is an opinion he has that some might agree and some not, and it is just that, an opinion and nothing more, yet you have translated this with some meaning machine hippie-spaced out wierdo analogy.
I actually agree with the original poster and cringed during this ego stroke-a-thon segment. That must mean that i also do not enjoy life and am subconciously depressed and suicidal.

Every time the eels play the tigers and he is commentating he speaks about the tigers 80% of the time and everytime a call goes against them he blames the referee and whever they are sent to the video referee he persists its a try during every single replay, last night put the icing on the cake. Even Tahu told the media they didn't take note of Gould's comments during commentary because everyone knows he loves the tigers lol.

Hayne was in a patch of form that if you were not going crazy over him you had something wrong with you.

I like Gould's ideas and passion for the game and it's alright if he praises benji here and there and when he does something good, but he does over do it and needs to cut back on it before people catch on and think they are having an affair, when he does something good praise him, not every sngle time he touches the ball though.

Phil Gould is a television commentator. It`s his job to create excitement in the viewing public. To point out the magical aspects of the game. I think he does a good job. And since Ray Warren and Peter Sterling are both Parra supporters, what`s wrong with him taking the other side?

There's nothing wrong with it but in his position I think he should be more open minded to all teams not just one. Sterlo and Rabs do a better job at being neutral than him IMO

Benji Marshall is an incredible talent. Let's just enjoy watching him display his special skills and not death riding him.
If he can be contained, someone will work out a way to contain him. I just hope he doesn't suffer another major injury, and forced out of the game
