What about this?

LOWLIGHT I
No media car parking at Suncorp. They must think we all travel in limos.

He is trying to give a backhander to Smith and Grant, but comes offa as an entitled arsehole.

Who the f**k would drive to Suncorp? It's one of the best served public transport stadiums in Australia.

Not to mention a pretty short, atmosphere filled walk from the CBD on Origin night.

What a tard. Surely Buzz can walk for the Paddo Tavern or Caxton Street Hotel without much pain.

NETWORKS TRY TO SCORE A-LEAGUE

CHANNELS Seven and Nine are chasing TV rights to show live A-League soccer in a massive breakthrough for the code. On Thursday night, we spotted Seven Network heavies David Leckie and Bruce McWilliam with FFA boss David Gallop at the Centennial Hotel in Paddington.

Gallop is using the massive wave of interest around club visits by Liverpool, Manchester City, Roma and Real Madrid — hot on the heels of Chelsea and Spurs — to get the A-League on to the big TV networks. The Matildas’ efforts at the World Cup (it rated its socks off) is also creating huge interest around the networks.

I can imagine the conversation now....

Leckie: So David, after we buy the A League rights, we want to have Man City v Real Madrid on the Friday night, and then the Matilda's v USA on the Sunday arvo...

Gallop:

This makes no sense. Its not like European Soccer clubs are suddenly a big item in Australia. And the Matilda's rated it's socks off, really?

How would this generate any extra interest in the A-League??? Why not, you know, by the rights to the EPL or La Liga and show highlights packages on one of the digitals?

Surprised that Buzz isn't running the A-League into the ground to drive a bargain basement price out of them for the next TV rights deal.

I'm wondering how Gallop avoids mention of the A-League's current shyte ratings on SBS?

Maybe Leckie is too dumb to work it out?

Or maybe they just coincidently bumped into each other at the pub and Sloth is making the rest up?

Is the public bar of the pub normally the place where multi million TV deals get done?

more like gallop is still feeding his gal pal scoops in return for talking up both him & a-league, problem is the networks know exactly how poorly it rates & don't buy into the goodwill facade the media spins for soccer.

In Buzz's world there's not much that doesn't happen in bars

Can someone who has access to Slothfields articles please post todays "Buzz: Brave Renee is a life saver" that he has written. It seems like a good read for once.

Cheers in advance.

The longer we ignore Rothfields articles the sooner he night talk some sense about Rugby League.
The only way he will come around to talking sense if is we don't click on to his anti Rugby League articles.

That's the crux of it. People think complaining, sending abusive twitter messages and posting online is the way to effect change. Just don't read the f**kin thing.

Another pathetic shot at Smith, this time because he owns and drives an Audi, buzz won't be happy until he's driving an early model hatchback. Sick of this pathetic class warfare nonsense, it's manipulative garbage all about creating this image of Smith being an out of touch banker. Shows what Rothfield thinks about his readers, outraged bogans everywhere!

I tried and couldn't get on his comment site,to respond by having a shot at the News Ltd owner.
A very proud Australian ,who gave it up to become an American citizen.

And this clown Rothfield has a shot at a CEO who drives an expensive car.Better remind my local real estate agent,to put his Merc away,it's embarrassing.

My favourite in today's column is the bit where he gives himself a wrap saying he personally gave Thurston Adam Goodes phone number...

That's our ol' beetroot head... Bringing people in need together...
