Pick a classic NRL match to air on Chooseday Night Football

By staff writers
August 05, 2009 Fox Sports is giving you the chance to play program director, by choosing which classic NRL match you want to see in our new show: Chooseday Night Football.
Every Tuesday night, we will screen one of three great NRL games that are chosen by you voting for your favourite at foxsports.com.au.

Simply select the game you most want to see in the poll, and the match with the most votes by midnight Monday every week will go to air on Fox Sports 2 at 9.30pm (EST) the following night, Chooseday night.

Each week's selections will feature plenty of past and present stars, so get voting and tune in next Chooseday to watch one of the following memorable NRL games.

North Queensland Cowboys v Bulldogs (Round 21, 2002)
In a season that would later turn sour, the front-running Bulldogs headed to Townsville aiming for their 17th straight win. Future Cowboys hero Johnathan Thurston started off the bench in a Dogs side containing Willie Mason, Braith Anasta and Nigel Vagana.

Parramatta v Warriors (Round nine, 2000)
Former Eels five-eighth John Simon paired with Kiwis hero Stacey Jones as the Warriors travelled across the Tasman. Experienced playmakers Jason Smith and Jim Dymock were crucial to a young Parramatta side including players such as Brett Hodgson, Nathan Hindmarsh and Andrew Ryan.

Sydney Roosters v Manly (Round 13, 2005)
What a mix of players - with veterans Terry Hill and Ben Kennedy, rising stars Brett Stewart and Anthony Watmough, plus hard men Adrian Morley and Michael Crocker. Then add the battle of the Monaghan brothers in another chapter of this rivalry that has seen more than 100 matches.

They showed the Dragons Vs Manly 2004 last night - the one where Manly were on a nice roll and the Dragons came from like 24 points down to win.

The week before that was the Knights Vs Broncos from 2006, Knights won it 32-30 in an entertaining game.

Great stuff from Fox Sports!

What about the idea of a "Legends Debut match series"?
Start with Parra Vs the Adelaide Rams in Adelaide - Nathan Hindmarsh.
They could show Steve Menzies, Darren Lockyer, Wendell Sailor etc etc...

I haven't seen Hindy's debut match and would love to get my hands on it.... anyone????

That's a shame. How ironic would it be to have Nathan Hindmarsh make his debut at Hindmarsh stadium.

Yeah it would have been awesome....

I'm still holding out some hope that he'll have a game there....a couple of teams are talking about bringing games here over the next few years.... I can only pray that someone brings Parra.

Great choice. Pretty sure it was all square at half time. Our forwards smashed them.
