OK guys, here's a question for some of the more informed amongst you.

Following on from the thread about Jamie Peacock, I'm wondering which YOUNG, up-and-coming Poms you would like to see given a run at your club in the NRL.

Forget about the established players such as Farrell, Sculthorpe etc, which of the young future superstars (and there are many coming through now) would you like to see snapped up and why?

Peacock is pretty established (he's already featured in two or three Test series and has played about four or five years of first grade), I'm talking about the great generation of kids GB has got coming through at Super League level.

All the members of the England A squad would hold down places in NRL teams. Ian Sibbit is likely to be the 18th man next week and he was in the Storm 17 every week in 2002.

And then guys like Ryan Bailey and Luke Robinson who haven't made the England A squad for next week would kill it over there.

  kill it??? like Andy Platt, Dennis Betts and Chris Joynt did????

Look, they are good players and would go ok....

They're better off staying in the UK and keeping your competition strong though

Malcolm Alker. Expect a big season from him next year now he's back in SL and has got the added responsibility of the captaincy. He was named as hooker for the final Ashes test a couple opf years ago but couldn't play due to a suspension for fighting. He'd go great in Aus, his fitness and work rate are phenomenal and would do very well if coached right.

Luke Robinson, Keith Mason, Jon Wilkin, Kevin Brown, Ryan Bailey, Danny McGuire, Stuart Reardon, Jamie Rooney, Paul Wood, Jamie Langley, Gareth Ellis and Ade Gardner are all ones to keep an eye on.

None of them are really ready for the step up to NRL just yet but maybe in a couple of years time it'd be nice to see a few of them over there because I have no doubt that most of them will succeed.

I've seen him a few times but not sure how old he is - seems quite a capable player - Danny? Tickle from Wigan.

Agressive young fella....

danny tickle is a great prospect and pretty under-rated, can't believe i forgot him!. still only 20 or there abouts i think. seems like he's been around forever though, he broke onto the scene with halifax a few years ago now. seems to have settled down a bit off the pitch now he's at wigan as well.

another one i forgot is danny sculthorpe. he's a prop who signed from rochdale with wigan last year. has been unlucky with injuries and is a definite future gb international. pretty impressive bearing in mind he suffers diabetes.

The step up from SL to NRL is alot like the step up from NBL to the NBA.

Not many English players would be able to establish themselves over here.

Danny Tickle is 20

Richard Horne & Danny McGuire would be sensational out here, those kids have so much talent and ability and are so level headed for their age.

Rubbish absolute rubbish, plenty of NRL players go to the RSL and strugle were a few come back to the NRL and flourish.

I spit on that comment

Richard Horne could be anything, i just hope that he remains with Hull FC

I disagree. Admittadly it might take a while to get used to the pace of the game but I think skill wise the gap isn't a huge chasm. At least not NBL NBA type chasm.

Peacock, because he wants to be at Easts.

Who the f*ck said he wants to be at easts. If anything he would go to the raiders because of his connection ith Elliot. Another case of the ever-increasing salary cap.

What i can't understand is why people who may have never seen the Super League think they can bag it simply because it's an English competition so the standards are crap.

NEWSFLASH!!!! Australia once went well over 20 years without the Ashes people don't seem to remeber the standard of the Sydney based competition being pathetic then

If he's going anywhere, it'll be to Easts - and rightly so.
