 Monas was dreadful against us in the first game.

Manly started the year with a new backline. The players barely knew each other's names let alone how to play together. The team has been improving each week.

The main threat to Manly is Kimmorley who is easily the most dominant player on either side. On the other hand, if Kimmorley gets injured it'll be a looooooong season for the Sharks!!!

   :) :D

Sharks have the worst mistackle count per game in the league. Walker will slice and dice you guys.

Manly 30
Sharks 12

Cronulla made a ton of errors and conceded a ton of penalties in the Round 3 game but still won. Why didn't Walker-bout slice and dice us then?

because he was playing at fullback, if you have any RL knowledge you will know that Walker is one of the best "slicers and dicers" out there. He is finally playing in his natural position at 5/8 and "sliced and diced" both the dragons and the warriors. This talent combined with Cronullas shithouse missed tackle count = Walker to slice and dice.

Mona's was pretty much dreadful up untill the Tigers game in round 7, against STGI and the Warriors he was fantastic, watch the game if you want to try and prove me wrong. Watch especially his setup for scotty Donalds first try, a chip kick from the side of his left foot, lands perfectly in the ingoal complete with a perfect bounce. We'll miss him this week   Manly by 10

Agreed, and Noddy getting injured is the only way Manly will have even the slightest chance of avoiding a belting.

Still, that's why bookies give odds, I guess...

If 5/8th is his natural position, then why has it taken so long for him to play at no.6? Manly haven't exactly got an embarrassment of riches. I reckon I could have sliced and diced the Warriors given their lack of commitment last week.

The bookies aren't idiots. They have Manly favourite to win this game.

It's interesting how fans always overrate their player roster. If the Sharks had kept all the players that Ugly Ando got rid of, you'd have a team to be feared. But unfortunately he did ditch all those players.

Then how come favouries rarely win the Melbourne Cup? ;-) Cronulla's odds are excellent and I expect them to firm somewhat by Sunday.

we gave mullane a chance and he didn’t do to well that is why Walker was not in the No.6. Mullane is lucky to be back in the top flight, hopefully he will pick up his game coz he is under pressure big time.

Sully, please grow a brain before you spout out more tripe.

And I wouldn’t worry about our team, your team has it’s on problems at 5/8th! Defence wins matches and we have only conceded on average 2.3 tries a game in the last few weeks. Now the sharks have conceded around 4. So I would worry about your own backyard before you worry about ours.

Yes they do. The finest example of this can be found at the Eagles forum...

Come on, MQ. I thought you were more knowledgable than that. Cronulla have played some quality sides in recent weeks who have been in form. Manly have played two teams in the last fortnight who played several levels below what they were capable of. Cronulla will have to play very badly to lose this one. Plus you're forgetting Mullane is your halfback. Even having the best 5/8th in the game in Andrew Walker isn't enough compensation.

see what you have over looked is that we almost knocked over the Tigers (on eof the best defensive teams) / Bulldogs (no-one can doubt their class).

If you want to write us off because we have Mullane, then you will be sorry on Sunday.

I can’t deny the fact that you have one of the games best players in your team, but we have a good solid team who hasn’t been belted all year. I fail to see any reason why you guys think your going to walk all over us, you didn’t walk all over us when we played like under 12’s earlier in the year (with Mullane in the team) and you didn’t walk over us last year at Brooky. Nothing has changed except for the fact that manly are more competitive. It's amazing what confidence can do for a team….and we have plenty of it.

We have an excellent back row and I expect them to give your guys a shake up. If we can hold our own in the forwards I personally think our team (especially the backs) has the ability and confidence to win and win quite well.

And if you wanna talk about poor efforts....look no further than Cronulla v Souths

Look, both sides of this are being one eyed and why would you expect anything less? If the both sides play to their potential then the Sharks should get home IMO.

If either of these two plays well below their potential then we will see a thrashing.

And

If both of these sides play well below their potential then we are likely to see another Sharks/Tigers episode.

Poor Sully, I'd stick to Playgirl magazine if I were you, your "apparent" Embarrassment of riches is only 1 pt from the bottom of the Ladder, I sudjest you arm yourself before debating with Adults.
