Picture Help - Photoshop?

Hi all. I need to make a few changes to the image below so it can go onto Touch Footy shirts. The changes are:-

1. It needs to be on a clear background instead of white.
2. It needs to be changes to a GOLD colour. Sort of like this but more yellow.

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. You can either post the result here or email it to steven.j.dunn@education.nsw.gov.au

I actually need it fairly urgently so if anyone can do it I would be in your debt. I myself lack the skills and equipment to do it.
