Piranhna Guard have signed on as the official mouthguard of the Chicago Stockyarders. Piranha Guard are a company based in the UK providing custom fit mouthguards to athletes in a variety of sports. Managing Director of Piranha Guard, Simon Nixon said "the trans-Atlantic cooperation with the Stockyarders is the first step in creating a truly global sports brand, improving protection and performance in every discipline of sport".

This increases the list of Stockyarders official sponsors as the midwest's only Rugby League club looks to build it's sponsorship portfolio for the 2011 exhibition season and a planned 2012 AMNRL entry. For more information on Chicago Stockyarders sponsorship opportunities email midwestrugbyleague@gmail.com.

What are the season plans for Stockyarders? It's a long way from Chicago to any of the other teams, especially those without a fixture programme already in place (assuming the AMNRL have already decided their fixtures and simply not announced them). What's stopping Chicago entering the AMNRL this year, given there are no minimum standards requirements like in the other league?

Can you a least give it a rest on the day they announce that they will look at working together.
Tired of all the digs from afar. We all get it, The USARl is soooo awesome an the AMNRL suck & have sucked for over 10 years & they have done nothing for Rugby League.
Get over it Homer.

WTF are you talking about? I asked what the Stockyarders' plans were for the season. Stop being so defensive and grow the f**k up.

Money is the bottom line. We are not in a position financially to enter a long distance competition this year.

We will release details of a 2011 season of exhibition games soon though.

Wow, got much of a complex there pal? The AFL and NFL got it done many years ago I'm sure these two can work it out as well. Now on topic, fantastic news on the sponsorship, will they be provding capital, money or both? What is the projected time frame for the stockyarders to enter or start a regional comp?

Congratulations with the new partnership Chicago! You guys are doing a great job over there; keep it up.

DaBears, I believe EH's question was a valid one and not a 'dig' at one league or another.

If that is the impression you are getting from the debates on the forum, then, perhaps it is merely from your perspective. Correct me if I'm wrong ;-)

Nice CS. Well done.

Pretty awesome that League in the US is attracting overseas companies who want to break into new markets that in turn help the expansion of the game.

It really does seem odd that outlier (geography-wise) teams appear to pop up in both leagues.

Whether they can afford the travel expense or not it would be nice to see some form of conference established to remedy the situation. Players can't be that fond of spending more time traveling than actually playing?
