Well any new teams are likely to happen in lots of two.

Just seems to me that if we are losing players the best new team would be one that provides a natural source of players. The reality is there are probably many NRL ready players running around in NZ union right now.

I tend to think its more likely that we may see at least one sydney team relocate in the next 10 years to either a perth , brisbane or Central coast.

Always has been, especially from Wellington which has a strong league culture as well as rugby.

Nonu, Weepu, Collins, Umaga are for Wellington players who played league as their first choice game before switching to Union. I remember a fair few years back when Ron Cribb, Troy Flavell, and Doug Howlett all made the All Blacks they were saying how they played league until the reached high school where Rugby was their only option. That's something that happens far too often in NZ.

On top of that some school teachers in NZ make it their mission to act as scouts. I remember playing tough football during lunch and a teacher, in quite an aggressive manner, approached me and wanted to know why I wasn't playing rugby for the school.

Some of the schools over there are shocking.

I actually wonder what the point of this thread is..

Is it

A - an attempt to appease your hurt souls. Hoping a current All Black will switch codes and make you feel better about SBW's inglorious exit ?

or

B - just a slow news day ?

BTW, smalldumps aint going no place.

Glad you made those points. You avoid the trolls...

Well said.
