A bunch of drunk, senior Dragon players carried on like a bunch of dickheads last week..they hassled members of the public and staff of a fast food restaurant and generally spoilt the good name of rugby league.
God help us if they win the comp, they will make the Bulldogs pre season dramas of a few years back look like consent!

Mate, my footy team does that every weekend.

I bet you've done it too. Who hasn't? 24 hour fast food joints are used to it, that's why most of them have security guards.

ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA have sanctioned several senior players after a boozy club function led to complaints of misbehaviour at an Unanderra fast food outlet.
Complaints were made to the club by members of the public after a group of players disrupted staff and customers at KFC on Tuesday last week. Members of the Dragons squad had earlier been drinking at the Unanderra Hotel during an afternoon autograph session for club sponsors and supporting charities.

St George Illawarra chief executive Peter Doust confirmed that senior players among the group had been cautioned about controlling the situation. ''The function concluded in the early evening before the players dispersed,'' Doust said. ''Some went to the KFC next door, where they were a little boisterous, and a member of the public communicated about it to the club the following day. We looked into those circumstances and decided that the senior players should have been a little more proactive in dealing with the boisterousness.''
KFC is still investigating the incident, which happened before the store closed at 10pm. A police source said several players were ejected from the nearby Wests Illawarra Leagues Club following the club function earlier that afternoon. However, Doust and Wests chief executive Phillip Bragg yesterday denied any incident took place inside the club or in the adjacent car park. ''Some players moved to Wests Illawarra and had a couple more there, but there were no issues,'' Doust said. ''They had a drink and then left.''
Doust denied the behaviour at the Unanderra Hotel - owned by club recruitment manager and 1979 premiership captain Craig Young - had spiralled out of control.
He had also rejected suggestions Jeremy Smith and Beau Scott were stood down for disciplinary reasons after the alcohol-fuelled afternoon.
Smith and Scott were late withdrawals from the team that lost to Canberra last weekend.
A report in a rugby league magazine yesterday claimed Smith had been secretly stood down from the Raiders match for disciplinary reasons, but Doust was adamant the report was incorrect.
''Jeremy and Beau were both out injured,'' he said. ''In Jeremy's case, he had a calf injury.
''There was no major issue.''
The function was held the day after the Dragons had beaten Manly at Kogarah and before Sunday's loss in Canberra.
A member of the public, who wished to remain anonymous, wrote to the Illawarra Mercury in disgust at the Dragons' behaviour.
''I just ask the question if the Dragons left their [sic] for the weekend [Canberra game] with the trash they left on the floor and outside the [KFC] shop at 10 o'clock last Tuesday night, 17th August,'' the letter said. ''The young staff who had already cleaned the shop … should not have been required to put up with such drunken behaviour.''

So someone complained to the club that they left some rubbish on the floor, yeah suspend the players for the rest of the year. I can understand your anger, we did not have anyone falling over women on CCTV, nor did we have anyone glassing a girl. Real assholes indeed. get a life chump.

I'm shatterd and disillusioned.

I never thought anything could get as bad Trent doing push ups in his derps, well, then cameTimmo on a street sweeper.

And, now this. Grown men having a few drinks AND....leaving a mess.

Where will this anti-social trend amongst Dragons players end?

For me, the biggest question that I can't get my head around is why they went to KFC instead of the chicken joint across from WIN. It is at least 3.5 times better than KFC quality wise.

Helping out kids in the Wollongong area by creating work.

Give them the One Community award now. They understand how bad youth unemployment is in their local area

This is nearly as bad as that time Willie Mason pissed on a wall. I demand they be stood down indefinitely.

I think we really need to send a clear message. Sack them and make them play for Scumnulla, that will deter them for life.

Wait a minute.....................that's where Smith is going.

ZOMG how good is KFC chips, potato & gravy when you're drunk.

Not as good as a family feast bucket between two people.

The game on the side of the bucket provides plenty of entertainment the next morning while you have a hangover.

You missed a part.

I think this is a nothing story and a beat up, but it was probably more than rubbish left on the floor that the people complained about.
