I really don't know why I bother, but there is a story in the Canberra Times today saying Don Furner is meeting Jim Banaghan to discuss a 5 year deal with Campese (to keep him at the club until 2014). Discussions have also taken place to keep TLL here for another 2 seasons and they're about to open negotiations with Jarrod Croker to extend his deal too.

There was no talk in the article about Nathen Fien.

There you go. I think that's good news but I'm sure there's something to whinge about there too. I mean, god knows why we're keeping players here that have given us such a crappy season...

chach, we could be undefeated this season and people would still find reasons to whinge (and scapegoats to contunally slam)

Get over yourself Chachi.

You're pissed that everyone wasn't as enthused as you over our one win. Some of us saw it for what it actually was - ONE win and a performance we should have been producing more of.

Great news on the player signing front, especially Croker. Massive talent for a guy so young.

Go 4. 5 Year Deals never end well. Gasnier & $BW for example.

gasnier and SBW... All money hungry snobs.

Campese ABSOLUTELY loves Canberra and has just got married, finished off renovations and has said himself, if he could he would stay here for life.

Yeah but to keep them keen and playing well (people improve closer to contract nego time), you want 3-4 yr deals max. Damn, Dogs learnt that only too well when we signed Sherwin to a 5 yr contract, the end couldn't come quick enough for most of us.

Wow.

The club is interested in having discussions with players to extend contracts.

What a f**king scoop, Chachi!

Get the godamned signatures on paper and then there'll be something to be excited about.

... or we could be in 14th place with 3/10 and there'll still be happy clappers like Chachi and yourself who think everything is just swell.

Quite frankly if management couldnt get the deal done with Campo you'd really have to ask some serious questions.

So post some news you f**kin gronk.
Interesting. Given I have no idea what the hell you've ever contributed to this place I did a quick search and found that half your posts are about bagging Michael Weyman mixed in with something about how you're a dope smoker.

Top of the class champ. No wonder this place is the way it is with idiots like you on board.

If we won a game 66-4 there would be people complaining about how we conceded a try in the 73rd Minute..

Just snapped a losing streak by putting a side away without our captain.. Pretty good effort when you look at our record without Tongue, I would have been happy with a 1 point win.

Most of us started the season with a lot of excitement (I'll concede I was not one of them) but the results just haven't been there and in all honestly, we should have beaten the Eels, Bulldogs, Panthers, Tigers and Titans. It's not that we aren't good enough it's because of a sub standard game plan.

We saw what this team did last year when they got out to a lead. Sides never got a look in and apart from Best leaving, there is no reason why we shouldn't have done the same this year.

We have an opportunity to consolidate against a Bunnies team minus Wing and Crocker and then we have the bye and Sharks at home. If we are good enough we can race to 14 points and get back in the hunt for the finals.

The season is not lost but we can't afford any more close losses against teams we should be beating.
