Interseting to see Emelio in the back row this week - keen to hear your thoughts on this positional change Reefy.

Also Beattie named - any news on a suspension for him?

Looks like a pretty strong line up to me. Hopefully they will get away to another big win and finish the job this week.

Wheres Russo - he hasn't played much this year?

Porter at half is interesting. My cousins is nearly best mates with Jon Green and Green reckoned Kent had been going pretty good at 5/8 with Russ at half due to Dalla's injury. I guess they havent been winning so its worth the try.

Porter and Russ have a great combination though as they have grown up with each other and are pretty good mates. They know each others game inside out and they should cause a bit of damage.

Should make for good viewing.

Wouldn't it be delight to see a half combination emerge from our juniors.

Remember those combinations we used to see in the 80's and early 90's. Sterlo and Bert. Turvey and Baa. Sticks and Loz etc etc etc. I know we still have the best half back in the comp in Noddy but it would be great to see these guys come through in a couple of years as the new combo.

It would be great McSharkie. Ive grown up with the blokes, playing with them and going to school with them so I know em pretty good. The thought of them one day cacking 1st grade together would just be the ultimate for them.

Lets hope none of them wander of to another club!

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying here

Kenny was a local Parra junior yes, but Sterlo was QLD born, Riverina raised and didnt play in Sydney until he got a gig with Fairfield Patrician brothers
Terry Lamb was a Canterbury junior but Steve Mortimer was from Wagga
Laurie Daley is from Junee and Ricky Stuart converted from Rugby union

We had a local junior combo of Matt Johns and Brett Kimmorley...if we're counting the Hunter Valley area!

like I told the artist formerly known as Frenzy, I have no idea what is goin on here. And as I have seen f**k all of him this year, I won't speculate.
I just know that the more he plays, the more he plays. I think he's sorta like ET was & used to go to sleep when left a little wide.
I hope it comes up trumps for him.

I am saying that it would be a delight to see a half combination like the Sterlo-Kenny etc etc ones emerge, especially from our own juniors.

Let me break it down.

1. It would be great if we could see a half-5/8th combo with as much understanding as the ones mentioned above at the sharks.

2. It would be even better if it emerged from our own juniors.

The reason why he is in the pack is that they can't fit him outwide. His hands have let him down on the wing. Anyway he's been playing a bit in the forwards this season, despite being named in the backs.

The selection of Porter was an interesting one. Kent must be injured. But Porter has been struggling to get a game in Flegg over the last 2 years, so interesting to see he's been promoted. I don't think he's an out and out halfback anyway. But maybe the combo with Russ was the clincher. Travis Burns is also out injured.

another thing, porter is an awesome (or was, i dont know what hes like since the injury last year playing for endeavor) goal kicker. He was kicking sideline conversions as far back as the 14s

They been playing together since the 7's. Porter is an excellent goalkicker and will probably get the duties on the weekend.

Hasnt played much footy in the last year as he had a knee reco after he injured it playing for Edeavour in the Aussie Home Loans Cup but has struggled to hold his spot in teams at times like Ali said.
