Kris_man, the bloke couldn't defend at first grade level and was error prone. He had his chance. A fine club man but not first grade standard.

i didn't really notice his defence, but he could attack like an ox, so he should have been in the team. it's not like defensive specialists took his place in bulgarelli and robertson. and even if his defence was bad, which i doubt, then put him on the wing, and problem solved.
was his bad defence due to poor reads? they can be easily fixed with training. or was it due to one-on-one difficulties, like bulgarelli? i don't think that they can be coached to any great extent.

I didn't say we had replaced him with better players. We haven't. But IMO Bulgarelli is better in defence than Jensen, that's how bad the latter was. Yes he could attack but it's not much good if you can't at least defend also.

Some players can be coached to defend well, some can't. Jensen never seemed to get the first grade drift. But then again, with our coaching staff...

Bulgarelli is better in defence than Jensen, I'll acknowledge that. But in in every other respect, Rocket well and truly shat on Bugger. (Those of you from RLeague will remember that I said we should pick him and Jace every week. Wish we still had both of them :()

well, i think jensen's been defending well for the Cowboys as a back rower, judging from what i saw in the tigers v cowboys match. i also wish we still had him :( . then again, if we did have him, elliott wouldn't pick him. i think rocket's done well this year - he had little chance of making the cowboys team with their all-star backline, but htes managed to nail down a regular spot in the 17.it'll be interesting to see, though, if he's still there when sing gets back. i think he will be, because of his versatiliy off the bench, which is exactly how i think we should have used him. still, its all academic now.

from memory, here's our try scorers from the PL match v souths which i saw in the daily telegraph: (i'm pretty sure this is correct. there may have been one other try scorer, but i dont think so. boogers or smith definitely didint get any)
Kahler 2, Russo 2, Graham, Campese, Butriss, Raston
it looks like my guys did well (kahler, russo, and graham), and elliott's bum chums didn't (n smith, boogers).
