Plax shot himself in the leg by accident whilst unloading his gun in a nightclub.

New York laws on carrying a gun are very strict. In fact it appears Plax wasn't licensed and the punishment for not having one is a MINIMUM of 3.5 years in jail.

Either way, he is out for a while with the wound.

I saw in the news earlier that he was handcuffed and taken away with police, not sure if charges were laid, but the guy is pretty much finished with the Giants.

Maybe Supercoach Kauron will pick him up lol wishful thinking.

Suspended for 4 matches and placed on non-injury reserve so he is done for 2008.

Giants can now punt him and get 90% of the bonus money back.

The funniest thing is this won't affect the Giants. Hixon, Toomer, Smith and Boss are a great receiving corps.

Burress is an idiot and expect idiot teams (ie the Lions or Raiders) to sign him.

I think you’re wrong, the Giants will miss Plax, he is a very gifted athlete. When he's on the field he commands double coverage which opens things up for the other receivers and the running game.
Hixon looks good but as coaches get more game film on him they will work out what his tendencies are and what his strengths and weaknesses are.
Look at what Plax did in Green Bay in the NFC Championship game he made Al Harris look second rate.
Hixon hasn’t proved he can perform on the big stage yet.
