Yeah we're apparently deep in talks with a half and a centre. Have no idea who. We should be pretty nicely accomodated up front, but halves and wingers look a bit thin. Of course we'll probably pick up a couple of the WT's signings.

adam wheeler is a pretty good prop.

He is a pretty boy that started playing first division before Hindmarsh, Ryan, Cayless and Vella and will play no higher than first division.

Shame Trent Clayton has gone. 18 tries (plus 2 for Wests Tigers) was handy.

I'm assuming Marshall may be contracted to Western Suburbs when not playing 1st Grade for Wests Tigers. As Balmain already has Tippett and Obst in the Halves. And the Magpies are doing it tough in that area.

Doesnt bother me that he will play PL. It's where he was signed to play any way.

I'm not sure if either tippett or obst will be kept though. I hope Obst isn't.

yeah, you're right.

what couldn't I like about a footballer who is a midget with a beckham haircut (the 2002 version) who couldn't pass, kick or organise. On top of all this, he used to play for the roosters.

In fact, who needs benji? It's Obst time!

Eiso was a good prospect, but he's probably got to the point where he doesn't like his chances of ever making the top grade so I'd say he's taken a tidy little contract to go and play bush footy. He'll almost certainly be getting more than he was on at Wests.

Wests have confirmed re-signing Cashmere, Duffy, Glassie, Hallam-Mann, and Nigel Plum. Clint Hill is also still under contract. The other players will be in negotiations over the next week or two. We'll certainly have a pretty good pack I'd say, but the loss of so many of the guys that gave us the fourth best attack in the comp is a concern.

If you are suffering Footy withdrawal you can catch the Magpies Flegg Possibles v Probables trial game on Oct 11 at 10:30 am at Campbelltown Stadium. Wests are also holding open age trials at Leichhardt (I'm assuming its a WT combined thing) on Oct 18 but I don't have the time.

Dissapointing that Eyes left. I'd started to make pretty good friends with him.

Yeah guys i have it as:

Balmain- Prince, Marshall
Magpies - Reynolds, Roberts

Also Damien Bower is the expected to sign with Wests shortly.

Im still cut Greenshields left, he should have played in that Melbourne game instead of Milton.

Roberts? WTF would you be assigning him to us? He's a junior FFS! He ain't going anywhere. There's no point assigning any of the imports yet. Going on this year they could chance even half way through the season.
