no word on balmain's movements. they dont really announce anything and it wont be until new year til they update the website. geez we need someone like yappy for the tigers who can get us that sort of info.

and on the two parra props that wests have signed from what gather, wheeler is basically a direct replacement for o'farrell. hard working prop, not particularly glamorous, and always seems to be outside plans for first grade. but still ok at making some yards in reserves (where he has been playing for the last or 3 years)

and on siika, he sorta seems like some sorta cult player. sounds like a pretty big boy who can have a bit of an impact, but sounds like he has problems with fitness and consistency. had a good finals campaign for the parra flegg team in 2002, but hasn't been seen much this year. mixed reactions from parra fans on his loss.

hey tigers ppls
sorry to bring this to the top, i dunno if youse'll care, but Wheels is one of my favourite players and i thought i give you the 'lowdown'...
he played one first grade game in '00, but he really is a great player! :) things were getting a bit stale for him at parra, he admitted that he hasn't been happy with his footy lately, but he is looking foward to the fresh start, and is gonna give this '2nd chance' everything he's got.
He's captained every team he's played in, he's inspirational, (he can always rev up the team) and is a real gem to have in your team.
I can't comment to much on Siika, cos i haven't seen him play as much as i've seen Wheels, but i know Adam, and he's a great guy...
look after him for us next year! ;-)

When I get the time (or when I stop being lazy) I'll email Danny Munk to ask about Balmains gains/losses for next year.

Thanks Jess. Adam is being brought to the club essentially to replace Brett O'Farrell. If he plays with anything like the commitment, heart and leadership of BrettO then he'll be a Magpie favourite in no time. I've no doubt he'll find his time at Wests enjoyable both on and off the field.

I've heard that fullback/centre Luke Milton has gone back to Rugby Union.

I spoke to Luke a while back and he said he was hopeful of picking up a contract with the Bulldogs who were trialling him. It must not of panned out for him I guess :?
