McKINON: Good effort once again. High mistake rate let him down, but he topped the hitups for the game (22). 7

ANDERSON: The gods were against him. Thorman defending inside him instead of Widders. Hindy feigning to catch the pass. Not a happy debut - but deserves another chance with a more settled team. Mistake rate low. 6

GRAHAM: Did one good run with a ballsed up end. 11 hitups for 122 metres - got us over the advantage line on average, which must be praised. 6

WIDDERS: Very good in attack, plus 29 tackes. did a lot of work all round. 7

BURT: Seemed unsure of himself. Ran slow, ran across field. 5

WITT: A high mistake rate and a glaring out-on-the-full kickoff hid potentially a very good game. His kicks were not chased at all by the backs. Combined well with Thorman in general play. Lacks Dyke's long kicking game, but offers more in attack. 6

THORMAN: See Witt. Tried hard, was always in the action, though. Bombed try didn't help. 6

VELLA: BEaten by a better pack, his defence was tireless and on many occasions was the ONLY player to follow through on kicks.

WEBSTER: Tried his guts out. 7

TSOULOS: Not as effective as previous games. 6

HINDMARSH: His usual game. 90 tackles and 30 odd hit ups in 4 days. Missed a few early tackes, though. 8

HOPKINS. Ineffective. Did half the work Hindy did. 6

WAGON. His usual mountain of tackes and ineffective capaincy. 7

MUSPRATT: Looked sharp at dummy half when came on. 7

STAPLETON: Did his normal high workrate, ballsed up a try. 6

KAFUSI: Didn't do too much - but was mistake free. 6

AFAMAGASA: A few good hit ups, and a few mistaked. OK debut. 6

GENERALLY: We lost it because from the kick off we never moved up in defence as a unit. The kicks of Witt, Thoprman and Musprtt were never chased, except by poor old Vella! These are coaching issues, and not player form issues. if these problems were fixed dropped balls and missed tackles would not hurt us as much. The team is playing low on confidence. That comes down to the coach!

Misty appreciate your comments. Let me make it simple everyone deserved a 5 maximum, except Mckinnon a 6 and Hindy a 7.

Lets be serious-

1. McKinnon- Extremely safe, reliable, dependable, great defence...everything you want from a fullback. 8

2. Andersen- Struggled withthe rise to first grade, will be better for the run. 5

3. Graham- Crucial errors, is playing terribly, not numbering up in defence. 3

4. Widders- Not a centre, didn't give Andersen any help...sad thing is he's our best option there at the moment 5

5. Burt- I'm sorry, but an absolute waste of space. Has nothing. Crap defence, can't beat a man- has rarely ever utilised his speed in the top grade. 2

6. Witt- Looked like he hasn't played first grade for 8 months. Struggled to adjust to the pace of the game but had a few nice touches. 5.5

7. Thorman- Dead set cabbage- the sooner he is back in Pommy land the better. Yes he tries but cannot handle the NRL game. 3.5

8. Vella- what more can you say other than he is the biggest cat of a forward in the game. Got steamrolled by Moodie for god sake. Is a perenial arm grabber in defence- refuses to hit with his shoulder- Go forward is terrible. 3

9. Webster- Tries hard but not first grade standard. 3.5

10. Tsolous- Big hulking man who is constantly hit in dominating tackes- driving back- dumped on his back. Fair dinkum a guy his size should never be dominated in a tackle. 5

11. Hindmarsh- This guy is a freak. Super athlete. 56 tackles, 18 hit ups- almost 200 metres. Maybe needs to be a bit more dominant in attack- thats the only criticism I can find of this bloke and even then i'm clutching. Goal line defence inparticular was superb. 9.5/10

12. Hopkins- A trier who barely saw any of the action yesterday. Well below his best. 3.5/10

13. Wagon- I thought he actually went ok, despite what people said. He makes a shite captain though. 7/10

14. Muspratt- Not a first grader- offer NOTHING 2.5/10

15. Kaufusi- Went ok I thought. Had a bit of mongrel in his defence. Should be in the starting side next week in my opinion. 6.5/10

16. Stapleton- Early season form has gone. 4/10

17. Jack- Looked ok for the time he was on the field. Limited game time though, like Kaufusi. 6/10

Now that's a fair assesment. Anyone who got under 4 should be automatically in reserve grade next week cause their game yesterday was nothing short of disgraceful. Between 4-6 you're on thin Ice. Above 6- hold your head up high...you at least hada go.

Generally I agree with this, except:

* Anderson was solid, but quiet; but he caught the bombs and made some great tackles. He'll be better with more games. He has talent.

* Burt, although I love the bloke, did NOTHING

* Widders was ordinary

* Webster was ordinary

* Thorman and Witt were made to look worse than they actually were because (1) nobody chased their kicks; (2) they had to make a lot of tackles; and (3) NOBODY BACKED THEM UP

* Tsoulos didn't have his best game; however, he did cop an early knock

* Give Graham a few weeks; I thought he was OK but not great; but he improved tremendously over last week. He'll be right in a few, as will the Thorman/ Witt combo.

* Muspratt was good but again was amde to look ordinary because few players backed him up.

* Hopkins was ordinary

* Stapleton didn't bomb that try; it was actually raked out in a three man tackle

* Wagon offers NOTHING; strong defence maybe, although he lately misses a lot of one-on-one tackles

* Vella, apart from chasing kicks, did nothing; HE GOT STEAMROLLED BY MOODIE! JASON Moodie! You know, the bloke who played for us? BLOODY HELL!!
