Bird 1? You are on drugs

Stevo, Bailey, Bird and Saleg are the only ones who deserves to get over 5.

Sorry Salmon, you have 5 minutes to edit your post before I use your comment as my sig for this week.

Lets be serious. No player out there deserves more than about a 5, and most of them should feel lucky if they get above a 3.

We were beaten by a pretty decent side. Don't laugh there form so far this year is pretty good. But we were ordinary, terrible discipline. First time I've seen us on tv this year, so I will give you my ratings.

Peach 5
Simmons 4
McGoldie 4
Franze 4
Saleh 5
Bird 0
Kimmorley 4
Hilder 4
Bailey 5
Isemonger 3
Stevens 3
Bosnich 3
Nutley 2
Beattie 3
Galloway 5
Sullivan 5
Bickers 4

Terrbile discipline and lack of aggression in our forwards. I am beginning to think our 3 front rowers are past it. Young Newton and Reece Williams are very aggressive players who could possibly add some starch to our pack. I also hope Jason Williams get his wide frame into some good form in reserve grade. Our front rowers need to pick up their game. Overall it was another 2003 like performance, showing Raper has had little to no influence on the players. Hopefully when we get all the new players on the field we will be a better side, but my confidence is waning.

How can you guys give Saleh points? He was shocking. He stopped before he hit the line on kick returns and was shocking :?

Yeah fair point Ali. Souths are much better.
I remember when I was laughed at for suggesting we get the mcdougals to the club.
Ha!!

I reckon you are out of line with the Bigs though. Stevo had a good game. He did his job well. But there was no role on after it because f**king Kimmorely would kick or turn it inside or stupid like that.
I am very upset at our 400k man!!!!!!

I agree he stopped before the line, and was really pissing me off. But he did make one nice line break and from memory only made one error. Which is a better performance than most of the others. Still 5, doesn't suggest he's played a blinder.

uumm thats an easy answer
gave away no penalties
Stopped three tries with excellent reads after Franze or Goldie farged up
Scored one try
did not drop the ball
Took the ball up off the ruck every set of six
Backed up well which led to two breaks

Stevo was probably the best of the 3 going forward, but his discipline is terrible. Nutley has a serious problem. How he can pick up a bloke on the ground by the leg and think he shouldn't be penalised I don't know. He gets glorified because he gets through a lot of work, but overall he's ineffective and gives away too many penalties. Nutley made 15 hitups for 107 metres. I'm not advocating dropping any of them just yet, but I'd put them on notice. Hopefully Newton and the Williams' will find some form soon.

Looking at Beattie's stats, 5 hitups, 38 metres, 13 tackles. Did he get injured?

Peach - Very poor game. Showed no enthusiasm, didn't want to take part. Back to 2003 form in one game.
Symmons - Several mistakes, showed why he's a fullback and not a winger, constantly out of position in defence.
Mcgoldrick - Had a go, but just doesn't seem to be of first grade quality. However, he was the only player who was always trying.
Franze - Lame. Just lame. Tried hard, but gave up.
Saleh - Had a good go, but had nobody inside that could give him any oppurtunities.
Bird - He'll be suspended for at least 6 - 8 weeks. Disgusting piece of play. I empathise with the guy, it was a mistake, but it was still filthy. Played pretty poorly, even though a miracle occured at Aussie Stadium...Greg Bird passed the ball!
Noddy - Where was he? Was he even playing? Poor options and little involvement. Seems to be a poor captain.
Stevens - Ill-discipline cost him and the team as a general. Has to visit the Cronulla-Caringbah under sixes to learn how to play the ball again.
Bosnich - Why is he anywhere near first grade? Slow, no class, lazy and (somehow) cocky. Send him to Jim Beam Cup for f**ks sake.
Nutley - Deserves a run-on spot...in premier league. Discipline was f**king woeful.
Bailey - I want to throw a javelin through this guy's head. Terrible discipline, massive dropped ball, unenthusiastic in defence and attack, will be signing for Wentworthville hopefully. Terrible this week and ahs been all year.
Isemonger - If you were to look up average in the dictionary, this man will be there smiling.
Waltzing - Tried hard in defence, but was awfully quiet in attack.

Beatts - Poor discipline yet again. Some nice work in defence, but not nearly enough. Keep him there for another couple of weeks.
Galloway - Doesn't have enough skil for first grade. Reminds me of Don Tweddle when he takes a run. Slow, unaggressive and...lame.
Bickers - Had an alright game. Tried hard. Just very, very, very quiet.
Sullivan - Started well, shyed off towards the end. Back to '03 form.

All in all it was a bloody dreadful performance. I'm hoping to see a massive change for next week. Nutts, your cut, Bailey, you too...Iceman..GOOOOONE, Galloway, seeya in another life, Bos...*gunfire* that'll do you...and Birdy....keep it up and I wont have to cut you. Seeyou next week boys...

:D at the rest. But I can't agree with your criticism of Galloway. He's doing the job an 18-year old frontrower should be doing - hitting it up, getting it over the advantage line, no mistakes and no penalties, and an offload here and there. You can't expect miracles this early, it's the other forwards who are letting us down.

I think he's being rushed into firsts. Needs time to learn, he's just not making enough yards off his runs. He's got no mobility. I think another year in premier league will do him good...no matter how much I like the guy.

Yep, Galloway gave away no penalties unlike his experienced team mates. Generally got over the advantage line and made no major blunders in defence. While not being exceptional he is only 18 and more then holding his own. Keep him there.
