The specifics (height/weight/age) of all our squad members have been updated on the Dragons website for the 2018.
Some interesting specs of note:

Zac Lomax:
Age: 18
Height: 190cm
Weight: 94kg

Matt Dufty:
Age: 22
Height: 179cm
Weight: 83kg (up 4kgs from 2017)

Jai Field:
Age: 20
Height: 181cm
Weight: 85kg (up 13kgs from 2017)

Steven Marsters:
Age: 18
Height: 183cm
Weight: 99kg (little heavier than I thought)

Tyson Frizell:
Age: 26
Height: 183cm
Weight: 108kg (up 5kgs from 2017, assuming he'll lose some of that over the year)

Jackson Ford:
Age: 19
Height: 187cm
Weight: 95kg

The noteable thing is that Ford, Marsters and Lomax have naturally big bodies and that is s great platform to build on
I have some concerns when smaller frames are being artificially built up and are still quite small in comparison

I thought that 99kgs was a little heavy for Marsters. Perhaps the coaching staff are guiding him towards the centre/wing position with Dufty/Lomax/Field/Mann occupying the fullback spot.

Lomax is an absolute specimen. I thought he was actually taller than 190cms. If he keeps his current body frame then he shouldn't have any issues. Check out his instagram and his partner's instagram (Jessica Sergis - she's an Aussie Rugby League rep), he looks like he's been hand-crafted by the Gods. He's got wiggle room there to both build up and slim down, particularly due to the fact that he's still growing. Pretty scary.

Field and Dufty needed to build up. For the smaller guys (particularly Duff), more size doesn't necessarily mean loss of speed and agility. In fact, the more muscle they put onto their frame, the faster they'll get. Size = power = speed.
Field needs to get used to that frame however. He was always ridiculously underweight for a first grade Rugby League player. 85-88kgs for his height is ideal and the coaching staff were right to build him up that much, all of the best players around his height are sitting at that playing weight.

I’m disappointed that the club don’t list the players star signs..

Would make game play analysis so much easier..

Oh, Widdop’s got the defence in two minds, that’s such a Gemini thing to do..

Aitken forgot to pass to an unmarked winger.. that’s exactly what you’d expect from a Libra..

I have only seen Marsters play one game, in the 20's. He played fullback that day. I thought that he didn't have the build of a fullback. I thought he had a build more suited to centre or and edge backrower. Just off that brief look, I think that they/we should look to develop him into a centre. I actually like the idea of a Lomax and Marsters being our first grade centre by 2020, if they warrant it of course. We would have a pair a big fast centres.

I think he's already dropped 2 or 3 kgs since weigh-in.

I hope that's true, because what they had him doing in the off-season break was bs. I read that they made him over-eat all day and with 'pasta & carbs' before bed... That literally turns into fat while you sleep. With no training that would have slowed him down dramatically. Mary said Lomax is now the fittest at the club, unlike Field was last year. He should be on specialised weight training for muscle gain, not fat gain. That article pissed me off because it looks like he's gone backwards.

Dufty looks ripped atm, but Field has a double-chin! He better not have lost his speed, that's his biggest asset.

Field will has lost 3 kg since they started training will lose anther 2kg the rest will stay with him.
Re marsters he is naturally a bigger body but ehen he turn up after the off season they ask him to loss a few kg probably 2 or 3 more to go.
He could be a centre or edge backrower but has a long way to go.
This is his first year against men and first year of full time training.
Ford could be anything has the attitude and ability.
These guy along with lomax are the future.
But Herbert and garrick are both looking great and they are further down the line.

Don't agree with you at all. Putting in too much protein and quick body mass leads to injury, Fact.

Marsters should be fullback or centre. Talk to pushing to the back row is silly - he’s a specialist back, and we have plenty of backrow options.

I think people need to remember that Field's diet was a gradual process. He was manly loading on carbs, and as I recall he didn't seem to have too many injury issues during the 2017 season while he was on his diet.
It's not like he put on 13kgs in three weeks or anything. It was over the year.

He was never making first grade at 75kgs.

Never a truer word spoken, DQ.

Only last Friday, l threw down many gin & tonics, thus filling the body with much protein........ sometime after, the body gave way and a garden bed jumped out in front of me!
Who would have thought such a thing?
Anyway, the wash up was a small injury to the knees and ones pride.
A couple more sherbets and the pain was gone!
