Hey wats up,

Im a Rugby Leauge player in NZ, Currently playin in the new Batercard comp wanting to get a chance over in Oz

Im wanting to give it a crack, my plan is to try an crack the NRL but even NSW cup would be good. I just turned 23 now so even at this age cracking the NRL the odds are stacked against me. But playing in oz in the JB cup or the NSW cup would be good and ya never know what could happen from there.

How would I go about getting a chance in oz, Ive emailed a JB Cup clubs asking if they have any open trials havent heard bak tho I have good real good references from club and bartercard coaches Video clips even media clippings and that... Just looking to get over to oz with my wife and come to the place where leauge is the bread and butter...
NZ leauge is real sh*t no pathways for players and its a dead end road over here ive had heaps of coaches and people telling me they have contacts and im good enough to go over but most of the time they are talking out of there arse.... ( its like that in NZ somtimes )

Im new to this site so if this is in the wrong place just move it.
Thanks Guys

Good luck mate. We've already had our trials at Wests but that doesn't mean we aren't always on the look out for talent. Daine Laurie came down to us after we'd had our trials last year just looking for a chance and look where he ended up. If you come and show you're serious, listen to the coach and put in 100% you'll give yourself a chance.

If you're serious give our General Manager Kevin Hammond a call on +61 2 9601 2002, or alternatively pm me and I can get your details and pass on the info to him and the coach.

We have a few kiwis like Josh Davis, and we might even be able to help out with accommodation and work. What position do you play?

Mate there is loads of job opportunities and a big Kiwi contingent in Perth! The Reds are on the look out for decent players (we've just signed two from the Bartercard cup) so get in touch. Perth is a far nicer place to live as well!

ps we have a number of WA players that have made it into the NRL as well.
