Players of Tongan Heritage

[TNRL]

The Tongan National Rugby League (TNRL) are currently looking for players of Tongan heritage in Australia and New Zealand. The TNRL are sourcing players for the Pacific Rim Tournament, as well as a tri-nations tournament to be held in the USA (TBC) later this year. There will be more international fixtures next year also.

Any player of Tongan Heritage who would like to play for Tonga this year or in the future is encouraged to contact myself or TNRL coach Willie Wolfgramm on the details below:

That doesnt say anything about Willie Tonga being born in Tonga

Willie Tonga went to school and grew up in Cherburg Queensland

Willie Tonga's father is tongan and his mother is Aboriginal. Like Tahu who is half Maori and half Aboriginal.

We had a kid play Flegg a few weeks back called Tevita Jurgensen. All the Tevita's I've ever heard of have all been Tongan.
