I am 99% sure that to qualify for a country, you only need one grandparent to be of one nationality. Which is why, I think, Gasnier was going to play for wales at the last World Cup.

Willie Mason played for Tonga at the last world cup as did Kite... they both either had parents or grandparents from Tonga. Just had a look on a website about the last World cup - interesting reading!!
