what happens when a player who is playing pl is dropped because of form or moved out of the team to make way for somebody else what do they do do they just rest for the week, cause in queensland when you dont make the cowboys feeder side you get put back to the townsville comp, and with brisbane and melbourne's feeder sides toowoomba and norths both have reserve grade sides of their own.

I think it depends on the clubs. I'd say most often the players just miss out for a week, Balmains situation is a bit different 'cause we seem to be sending our cut players to the magpies. We've also got a couple playing A grade but they are flegg aged kids that we've brought down to sydney who haven't been able to make the team rather than PL players.

For the newcastle Knights, the players are if they are young enough put into the flegg side, or put to local league. They are drafted out to the local teams via the position they come last year.

For example.

If a newcastle knights premier league player was the first person to be dropped due to no spot being available to them in premier league, then the team who came last in the local league comp in 2005 gets that particular player. The teams usually get 3 drafted players before the team who came second last gets a look in at the player.

Hope this makes sense.
